Kids v Parents rounders match going down a storm 🎾🏏😂

Beautifully observed silence by NFCC & Wakefield St Michael's Cricket Club for the Queen and long-time NFCC supporter Roger Wood ahead of today’s game.

Not a bad season so far for NFCC opener Kyle Welsh.

1072 runs in 19 league innings at an average of 76.57, with 5 hundreds and 3 fifties. All done at a strike rate of 104.49. Truly outstanding numbers, especially considering he’s still only nineteen.

Not only that, but his latest score of 189 not out was achieved on the back of precious little sleep having spent the previous few days and nights at Leeds Fest 😴

The boy done good. Real good. And he has an excellent chance of finishing the season as the top run scorer in the entire Bradford League. Which would be the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake.

Superb stuff Kyle, on behalf of all your team mates (even Louis and George), the committee and the supporters at NFCC who’ve watched you get better and better over the years 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Senior Cricket update

Some splendid individual performances from our younger NFCC players last weekend, with Ayaan Shahid bagging a maiden century in the Sunday match to follow on from four wickets in the Second XI game the previous day, a match that also saw Jacob Golding-Smith take a maiden senior five wicket haul. Cracking efforts from the pair 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

There are now just three weekends left until the end of the 2022 season. This weekend’s games are:

The First XI are at home to Hartshead Moor Cricket Club, while the Second XI still have a sniff of promotion and are involved in an important away game at Keighley Cricket Club.
