Getting your goal isn’t always about the gym😱

I know people harp on about the gym and as much as I agree it is beneficial for you in every way, there are a few exceptions

One for someone just starting out say the goal is to loose weight, the main thing to start that process is to move more it’s that simple the more u move the more you burn.
If your an anxious person then sometimes the gym can feel a very daunting place therefore going a walk can sometimes be a nice way to gain confidence make yourself feel better and still work towards your goal.

Another reason could genuinely just be a change of scenery to stop yourself getting board even the biggest fitness fanatic would agree it’s nice to try a new gym a new scene go a walk rather than the treadmill, it keeps it interesting.

Again for someone who is anxious or lacks the confidence to go to a gym maybe moving more I.e walking more is a great place to start along with home workouts and then progressively make your way into the gym.

Not to mention the many benefits to fresh air and exercise so move more go out doors you don’t always need a gym no excuses if you need some help I’m always a Message away

The best thing I have ever herd and stand by however is “ the person who steps in a gym regardless of what they do is already doing more than 90% of people in this world just by going through that door” the biggest hurdle

Happy new year troops 🥳

Hope everyone has a good one

Top tips for this year

1. Write your goals down and set deadlines on them

2. Stop being a b***h- to tired, I will do it tomorrow, oh it’s half way through the week al start next week , there’s no excuses, today is yesterday tomorrow, go get it!!

3. Make sacrifices, I’m sorry but if you really want something you are going to need to sacrifice something now I don’t mean big sacrifices, it could be as simple as not drinking for a weekend or not having as many takeaways( if your goals where easy everyone would do it )

4. Have fun and enjoy the process- what’s the point in doing something that will make you miserable you won’t stick to it do find something your really passionate about enjoy and trust the process and celebrate the wins no matter how small or big !

Stop comparing yourself to others!!!

It only puts you down everyone is on their own journey and at different stages.

No point getting annoyed about someone’s opinion that’s probably doesn’t even matter or even worse getting upset at someone that’s been doing it for years longer than yourself everyone is working in progress and no one is perfect again we are all at different stages just enjoy the process.

As long as you aim to be better than your previous self each day that’s all you can ask, if you do that the. Your winning everyday.

Remember someone that’s maybe further than you has possibly started earlier so why compare yourself to someone that’s been doing it 6 month longer, trust the process and enjoy it!!

Here are 5 tips for building muscle this winter 🥶

1. Don’t skip abs, ever heard the saying summer body’s are made in winter ? It’s true! Work on your abs now so that when that weight is shedded off they look even fuller and better 💯

2. Track your weights/ reps try upping one or the other each time your in the gym and progress with definitely be made👏🏻

3. Don’t just each s**t food and have the reply of bulking season, use a 70/30 split 70 % clean foods (chicken,veg that sort of stuff) and 30% of so called bad foods(chocolate, takeaways)🍫

4.PROTEIN 🐔

5. Consistency, sticking to the plan and continue to keep chipping away remember Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither are you keep at it but the results will come trust the process 🙌🏻

📝tracking

One of the most important parts of training and transforming yourself, oh but I dont want to constantly track calories or my gym workouts.

Yes I have heard it many times, no it doesn’t make you a freak, no it will not give you a bad mental state.

First of let me ask you, what do you not track ?

We track everything in life from money to how the kids are doing, to our favourite football team, work, everything.

So what’s the big deal when it comes to calories and training?

First of telling someone to track calories is only to show people how much they actually eat and then help them reach there eating goal regularly, it then comes to a point where u don’t need to track because your used to it and know what is in things. Giving yourself a healthier more nutritious outlook on food and your relationship with it. Pretty much educating yourself.

Now training everyone should track training, why the hell not?

If you don’t track it, do you rember every set and weight from last week ? Me neither. That’s why tracking is important in order for progress we need progressive overload, or to make the workouts harder each time. Tracking this can one show how we are making it harder and 2 show progress.
