We are thrilled to announce that Eddlewood Football Association has officially taken community ownership of the football pavilion and pitches following today’s successful CAT (Community Asset Transfer) hearing with South Lanarkshire Council’s Housing and Technical Resources Committee! 🙌⚽

This is a massive win for our community, and we couldn't have done it without the incredible support from all of you. 💪 Thank you to everyone who has backed us throughout this journey!

We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully secured £7,000 in funding through the Participatory Budget vote! 🗳️ A massive thank you to everyone who supported us – your votes truly made a difference! 🙌
This funding will go towards purchasing a shipping container café, which will be a fantastic addition to our facilities. The café will not only provide a place to grab a hot drink and a snack but also serve as a social hub for our community, helping us bring people together even more! ☕🍰

The Eddlewood Football Association’s proposal for the Participatory Budget is now open for public voting, and we need YOUR help to make it a reality!

What are we aiming to do?

With your support, we plan to develop a community café housed in a converted shipping container at our football grounds. This café will not only serve delicious refreshments on match days and during community events but also generate income that will be reinvested back into our community. It’s a fantastic opportunity to create a welcoming space for everyone while supporting local development.
