The club was founded some 30 years ago at “The Sportsman” on Metchley Lane, Harborne, which was our base was for many years. New opponents are always welcomed.
The Sportsman Cricket Club is a small “village-type” cricket club dedicated to the playing of the Summer Game in the spirit to which it was intended; that is hard, competitive, but always with an eye to good sportsmanship and camaraderie. We play our home games not far away at West House, a small enclosed preparatory school ground, which makes an idyllic setting for a game of cricket. At present,

The lads picked up a brilliant victory against yesterday and today hosted in another fantastic contest.
The occasion was marked with a special cake celebrating Waqas Ahmed’s incredible milestone of 40 hundreds for the club which he hit last week@… and he only went and chose today to notch up his 42nd century for the club ! 💯👏
A dominant opening partnership between Waqas and .kumar.001 helped secure a comfortable chase of 311, finishing with 8 wickets in hand. What a weekend for the club! 🔥🏏
