Ryan Maudsley Racing #166

Ryan's been back to the hospital today his thumb is not healing as well as expected so now in a hard splint to try and heal better his thumb is still quite swollen due to the chipped bone 🙄 looks like he's going to be off that bike for a while yet 🥴 gutted for him 😢 back in two weeks hopefully for better news!

Mega weekend riding with EDGE OFFROAD Spaunton Quarry did not disapoint! Today's race didn't go as planned and not sure who came off worse me of the bike 😕 got a great start and went up the hill in second place maintained position and came round in 3rd until the dreaded arm pump kicked in like rocks in my forearms making it difficult to control the bike and dropped to 10th after pitting I went back out pushing hard but the arm pump got worse and clipped a tree, tried to correct it but due to the arm pump I whisky throttled it up in the trees the bike was hanging from the tree literally even the marshal couldn't understand how I got it there 🤣 the bike had to be rescued and so did I so DNF for me! Thank you to the EDGE Marshal for bringing my bike back and To David Shaw for getting it back to the paddock.

Big shout to the medics for looking after me looks like a trip to A&E for me my right hand is 4 times the size of the left and can't be moved 🙄 but the bike came of worse 🤑

Last round of the NCC championship with Edge Offroad today didn't go to plan caught a tree stump and flattened my pipe putting an end to the day's ride gutted 😢 I was really enjoying the track! Hopefully I have done enough to retain 3rd place in the championship .... on to the next one.

Unfortunately this weekend didn't go as planned new venue for us Official Edge Offroad great place the track was great but ended early for Ryan after a bad off during practice it wasn't the cuts and bruises that stopped him Unfortunately his leg is still dead and very sore. He made the start line this morning but with just one lap in he struggled so much with the pain it wasn't safe for him to continue 💔 so on to the next one.

Thanks to everyone for the ongoing support but this week we have to say a huge thank you to Jane Daniels who yesterday stripped he bike in the paddock so Ryan had bars for today she went out of her way to help with Ryan's bike in true rider spirit such nice thing to do and we were very thankful 👍 as was Ryan Maudsley!

Great weekend at the Welsh National Sprint Championship Saturday the track was mint and couldn't wait for the Sprint on Sunday, due to heavy rain all night Saturday it made the track very wet and slippy. Riding at this level is a great challenge the competition and class of riders is unreal so it was nice to compete with the best of them 👏 I was pushing hard and sat in 4th place at clubman, unfortunately the Sprint was stopped due to an accident and we had to start the lap again with 3rd place not far infront I went all out. Everyone knows in a Sprint it's about being smooth and I should have listened to my own advise as that last lap resulted in a bad crash which saw me land over the handle bars with the bike on top of me loosing 49 seconds GUTTED is an understatement very sore today but we live and learn on to the next one 💪 thanks to everyone for the support it's great to be back on the bike enjoying the experience with top level riders.
Only the 2nd time on the new bike to but have to say it felt amazing suspension felt smooth and the bike just feels right!

Moved back to 2T this week on the CF Racing 250 tpi (2022) Husquvarna Big thanks to Brian and Gareth for getting the bike ready so quickly! Another shout to Andy ERS suspension for the quick turn around with the kyb forks and shock which felt amazing this weekend.

After making contact with TSP - Rutherford Racing who have kindly offered to support me for the rest of the season with the amazing tsp performance cylinder head and ECU remap. For anyone who is not aware of this take a look at their page and you tube! This is a must upgrade for the bikes it totally transforms the ride and performance of any tpi bike, night and day difference 😀 thank you for the super fast turn around so I had my new bike ready to race this weekend it was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to get back on it already!

Raced with Edge Offroad this week @ the motul national cross country championship Rd 5 track was great I really felt comfortable and loved being back on the 2t finished P3 in the Youth Elite class 👌

Once again the support from everyone is much appreciated looking forward to the next round!
