💦🏊‍♀️ What a weekend for North East Aquatics! 🏊‍♂️💦

The action started yesterday, with Northumberland and Durham hosting a Masters Development Session at Sunderland Aquatic Centre, while 24 girls took part in the latest North East Girls Water Polo Training Session in Maltby. 🤽‍♀️👏

Today saw the North East Regional Para-Swimming Championships take place in Harrogate, while teams from Northumberland and Durham and Yorkshire were in Sheffield competing at the Swim England National County Team Championships. There was plenty to celebrate, with Northumberland and Durham crowned Division 2 Champions and Yorkshire securing a fantastic third-place finish in Division 1. 🏆🥇🥉

Phew... we're tired just thinking about it! 😅

Whether you were swimming, diving, playing water polo, volunteering, coaching, officiating or cheering from the poolside, thank you for being part of our aquatic community this weekend.

👇 What aquatic activity did you do this weekend? Whatever it was, we hope you had lots of fun! 💙

In August, 70 swimmers from clubs across the country came together at Queen Ethelburga's School for four days of training, learning, teamwork and fun. From pool and land sessions to gymnastics, Clubbercise, team challenges and our camp talent show, there was something for everyone.

A huge well done to all the swimmers for their hard work, enthusiasm and positive attitude throughout the camp, and thank you to our incredible staff team for making the event such a success. Special thanks also go to Tracy Wyke, whose dedication and months of planning helped make the camp possible.

We loved seeing the swimmers showcase everything they had learned in the final display and can't wait to do it all again next year! 🏊‍♀️💙
