We often make assumptions about what we believe to be credible when it comes to managing anxiety and mental health. Often, the practice of yoga falls under the camp of ‘luxury’ ‘hobby’ or ‘workout’
I would love everyone to know that there is a whole wealth of tools that yoga can give us that is extremely powerful in helping with the deceleration of anxiety and poor mental health when it feels like it takes control of our bodies and our minds. It is far more than just a workout. Yoga, particularly the breathwork practices, can really help you bring yourself out of the stress response, not just during the session but whenever you need it in your day to day.
These tools have personally helped me imeasurably throughout my life, particularly during very difficult times, and so I feel very passionate about sharing these tools and busting the myths and stereotypes of what yoga is.
The 1-2-1 sessions that I lead, really allow me to be lead by your specific needs, whatever they may be. Alongside the well known physical benefits, Yoga can help with managing symptoms of stress, anxiety, pregnancy, the postnatal period and grief. You don’t have to be super fit or flexible to feel the benefits, everyone can benefit from yoga in such a multitude of ways.
I offer 1-2-1 sessions online and in person at the amazing womens wellness space in Harrogate.

I’M BACK!
PREGNANCY & POSTNATAL YOGA 1:1 CLASSES ✨
Hello!
I am now back from maternity leave and I’m so looking forward to offering 1:1 pregnnacy and postnatal yoga sessions at the gorgeous
I love teaching these sessions, it is such a privilege to help pregnant/ postnatal ladies during this very special time. The benefits of yoga are vast and it’s a beautiful practice to help nurture and support the changing body and help with emotional wellbeing at such a transformative time. You don’t have to have done any yoga before starting as its a very gentle practice. I tailor the class to exactly what you need, some ladies need a deeply calming practice to help to reduce birth anxieties and stress, others prefer a more energising physical practice to strengthen their bodies and relieve aches and pains- some like a mixture of both. No two pregnancies are the same and that is why a private class just for your body is a fantastic way to reap all of the benefits.

In my 1:1 pregnancy yoga classes we can cover a lot!
• Theres a focus on helping you feel stronger by building, strengthening and lengthening muscles to support your growing body ready for birth and motherhood.
• There is also a focus on finding space in the body, while you are sharing it with your little one it can feel cramped and tight at times and relieving tension in the body can help you feel lighter and more at ease.
• The element of pregnancy yoga that perhaps isn’t talked about much, is the focus on birth preparation. This involves, breathing techniques for birth, positions for birth and help with managing any birth anxieties by giving you tools to help you feel centered, calm and ready for birth, whatever that birth looks like.
One of the biggest misconceptions of pregnancy yoga is that its for people who have practised yoga for years and that its focussed on difficult physical poses. This is not the case. Many of my clients have had sessions that are soley focussed on breathing preperations and some have just wanted to feel totally relaxed for the hour! All of this is pregnancy yoga and the beauty of having a 1:1 means we can focus on what is going to help you with your individual pregnancy.
Its such a beautiful practice, and I feel really passionate about demystifying what pregnancy yoga is and how accessible and helpful it can be for all pregnant women.
I am also pregnant myself and would love to share in your pregnancy journey too.

Due to the demand I am very pleased to be offering Moontime Meditation at Crimple, Harrogate on Thursday 23rd Feb 7pm
This is a soothing evening yoga practice, designed to calm the nervous system and shift our minds and bodies into a relaxed state. This is a de-stressing practice that will combine Yin yoga, breath work and meditation to help you reach a blissful state of cosiness and calm to help you rest better and recharge. We are using essential oils to help boost our immunity and set some intentions as we emerge out of the colder months. No prior yoga experience needed.

This is a soothing evening yoga practice, designed to calm the nervous system and shift our minds and bodies into a relaxed state. This is a de-stressing practice that will combine Yin yoga, breath work and meditation to help you reach a blissful state of cosiness and calm going into the busy festive period.
The benefits of this practice being online means that you can set up your cosy nest in the comfort of your own home and you can just roll into bed at the end if you wish :-)
