🚧 Important Pool Update 🚧

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen delays with our essential improvement works, the swimming pool will now remain closed until Friday 14th August

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate this is disappointing. The additional time is required to ensure the work is completed safely and to the highest standard before the pool reopens.

We appreciate your patience and understanding whilst these improvements are carried out and look forward to welcoming you back to an improved facility as soon as possible.

Become a Lifeguard this Summer at Ashville!

We are hosting an NPLQ course over the Summer, from Tuesday 21 July to Saturday 25 July (9.00am - 5.00pm daily). We also have another date to complete the course from Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August (9.00am - 5.00pm daily).

The cost of the course is £275 and includes all course materials, training manual, pool time and external assessment.

This course offers an internationally recognised certification that lasts for 2 years and also grants you 8 UCAS Tariff points, making it a great addition to a CV application and/or higher education application.

Candidates MUST be over 16 years old, and be able to:
🌊 Jump/dive into deep water
🌊 Swim 50m in less than 60 seconds
🌊 Swim 100m continuously on front and back in deep water
🌊 Tread water for 30 seconds
🌊 Surface dive to the floor of the pool
🌊 Climb out unaided without ladders/steps

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for pupils aged 16 and over to train as qualified swimming teachers through the STA Level 2 Swimming Teacher course.

This course is ideal for pupils looking to gain valuable skills, boost their confidence, and take their first steps into paid employment. Successful applicants will complete their training and have the chance to become part of the Sports Centre team as in-house swimming teachers.

Not only will you develop essential teaching and lifesaving skills, but you will also gain a recognised qualification, practical experience, and the chance to work in a rewarding and active environment.

Ashville Sports Centre is looking for Level 1 or 2 Swimming Teachers (or someone willing to train) to join our team.

You’ll help and encourage swimmers of all ages and abilities to develop their skills, technique and confidence in the water.

🕒 Swimming lessons run on:
Tuesdays: 5:10pm – 7:15pm
Fridays: 4:30pm – 7:15pm
Saturdays: 9:00am – 12:00pm

✅ Term-time only position
✅ Flexible additional cover hours available
✅ Competitive salary
