Harlow vs Boston Spa โ Division 2 Match Report
Date: 4 June 2026 | Division: 2 | Result: Harlow 66 โ 42 Boston Spa
Harlow made a strong start to this Division 2 fixture, securing a comfortable home win against Boston Spa with consistent performances across all three mixed doubles rubbers.
Rubber 1: Niamh Priestley & Tom Greenwood 24โ12 Sheila Stewart & Richard Whaley
Our first pair set the tone immediately, playing with sharp accuracy and great court coverage. They controlled rallies from the start, moving their opponents around and converting key points to take the set 7โ1, 7โ5, 10โ6. A dominant display laid a solid foundation for the team.
Rubber 2: Ruth Whaling & Alex Priestley 22โ14 Dominique Hornsby & Jordan Gregory
A tighter contest saw Ruth and Alex battle hard. After a close first set lost 4โ8, they adjusted their game, raising their level to win the next two 7โ5 and 11โ9.
Rubber 3: Eva Kettlewell & Ellis Hall 20โ16 Lucy Kidd & Pete Smith
The third pairing delivered another competitive performance. Trading early games, they grew into the match, mixing solid serving and smart shot selection to claim the sets 7โ3, 8โ5, 9โ3. Another win sealed the overall victory.
It was an excellent team effort, and we look forward to carrying this form into our next match.
Final Score: Harlow 66 - Boston Spa 42

Match Report: Heworth 67-41 Harlow
We travelled to Heworth and, despite putting in a solid, competitive performance across all ties, came away on the wrong end of the result this time.
The home side were strong overall and edged most matches, but we fought hard throughout, with some excellent play and plenty of positives to take into our next game!

Harlow vs Richmond School โ Match Report
Dales Ladies Doubles League
Venue: Richmond School
Date: 30/05/26
We travelled to Richmond School for our latest league match on a bright, sunny morning.
It was always set to be a competitive fixture, but sadly the day was overshadowed by an injury to our player, Lyn Saville, who had to retire from play and was taken to hospital in Ripon for assessment and care. Everyone at Harlow sends Lyn our biggest love and best wishes for a full, speedy recovery โ weโre all thinking of you ๐
The match got off to a great start with some really high-quality tennis and tight rallies.
Richmond School played really well and took the win on the day, final score Richmond School 3 โ 1 Harlow.
A huge thank you to Richmond School for being so understanding, supportive and friendly throughout โ your kindness and concern for Lyn meant a lot to us all.
On to the next match, and we will be waiting to have Lyn back with us when sheโs ready ๐ช
