Well…what a way to start the season! 👀
A massive well done to our ladies today in their first fixture in the new league against a very welcoming Darlo side!
We arrived expecting to have 11 players, only to find ourselves with 10 due to a number of the squad being unavailable through other commitments.
Did that stop the Frannys? Absolutely bloody not! 😂💪🏼
We knew it was going to be a tough one, but every single player dug deep, battled right until the final whistle and gave absolutely everything.
And the reward? ALL 3 POINTS!

A proper rollercoaster of a game, but the ladies showed fight, bravery and togetherness when it mattered most.

Although, according to Stevo, he could quite easily have given it to every single player and we honestly couldn’t agree more!
Statement from Stevo our ladies manager…..
“Really proud of the ladies today. We turned up expecting to have 11 players and unfortunately had to play with 10. I asked the ladies to go out and give me 100 percent, show bravery when we had the ball and stay concentrated in our shape.
The first half was good but I felt I had to tweak a couple of things at half time to get more out of the team and they absolutely delivered.
I had people playing out of position, new players coming in but every one of them delivered. Abbey was given Player of the Match but in all honesty, I could have given it to everyone.
Credit to Darlo as well, they scored 2 cracking goals, played the game in the right spirit and the coaches were class as well.
Really proud of my players. We have work to do to improve, of course, but with players coming back from injuries and other commitments, we’ll be stronger in the coming weeks.
I wish Darlo all the best for the rest of the season.”
