Bishop Pinks 5 - PYFC U16 Blues 2

Another tough match this morning girls but you battled through to the last minute and that’s what counts. 💪🏻

It was Pools in the first up against it playing into the sideways wind with the home team capitalising on the advantage hemming in the visitors allowing Bishop a high press throughout. Admiral defending from both midfield, defence and keeper kept the home team at bay with Pools sustaining a continuous flurry of through-balls without allowing Bishop the lead. 🫡. 26’ in however one slipped through with a clinical finish putting the home team in front 1-0.

The occasional counters with good football and link-up from Pools threatened an equaliser, but a penalty awarded to Bishop just before HT cemented the first half for the Pinks. HT 2-0.

The second started promising for Pools with the visitors appearing to turn the tide knocking on the door with chances coming close. Impressive composed play allowed Bishop to wrestle back control however and maintain the lions share of possession.

With 3 more bagged by the Pinks and only 10’ to go it seemed Pools were confronted with the north face of Everest. Pools’s renowned never say die engine though fired up with a sweetly weighted through-ball from Elynn teeing up Tilly to run onto a one-to-one with the keeper before tucking it right hand side with ice queen composure. 🤝 lovely that girls. 5-1.

As the visitors piled on the pressure a far left strike from Lily from inside 18yds forced the keeper to wrap around the post with the Pinks lucky to not concede another. Within minutes though a beautifully taken corner from mighty Megan drifted into 6yds finding the right foot of Sophia to volley it home for 5-2. Absolutely awesome that 👏🏻 👏🏻.

Unfortunately this being the last play of the game Bishop remained victorious earning themselves a well deserved 3 points at home. FT 5-2.

Hartlepool Pools Youth Blue U15s Girls

Guisborough 7 - 1 Pools
Killingworth 3 - 2 Pools
Pools 1 - 2 Southmoor

A very tough first three games for the girls this season.. the fixture roll out wasn't kind starting our season against arguably the best three teams in the league 😂.. not to mention a first round cup tie against last seasons league champions next week as well.

However the first few weeks won't define our season and the performances have been unbelievable with 2 of the games only decided by one goal and we are creating a lot of chances.. we know the results will come very soon and we will start to move up the league.

What's mostly important is that the attitude of all 19 players is exceptional whether it's in training or on match days.. they know the performances are the level they need to be and the results will come over the season.

All 4 goals this season scored by Freyja Sharpe who has been in sensational form and getting goals against this level of teams only points towards a lot more this season. However it's only right to heap praise on all the girls who have all been brilliant.

Yellows 2-2 Kader

1st home game of the season for our girls, against our friends at Kader. It’s always a good battle between the sides and today was no different, both sides had moments when they were in control of the game and a draw was a fair result overall.

The wind proved to be a distraction for the game, and Kader took advantage of it in the 1st half. The away team took the lead with a superb strike from the edge of the area to beat Amy, with a little help from the wind ⚽️. Kader then doubled the lead with an unbelievable solo goal, running with the ball from her own half, taking 4 players on before having the composure to finish 👏 ⚽️. PY had chances as well, some good play from Nancy, Ruby, Bella, Mia C, Lilly, Lucy & Mia P created some good opportunities but the Kader GK stood up to every shot.
HT 0-2

2nd half started brilliantly, Jahmelly came on and caused havoc in the away teams defence winning a free kick. Nancy lofted a lovely ball over the top for Mia, who controlled it and calmly placed it past the keeper ⚽️ Game on! Pools were on top and we started passing the ball around really well, it was good to watch. The defence again were solid, Maisie T, Liv, Maisie F, Micah, Bella and Lillie-Rae all looked comfortable and defended really well. Emily was having a good game in midfield and grew into the game, neat and tidy on the ball. Eventually the pressure told, Mia P with some great work on the right crossed it in for Jahmelly, she turned the defender inside out before having a shot with her left foot which went over the keeper and got a deserved equaliser ⚽️. Andy and I are proud of the girls as always for fighting back from 2-0 down 👏
FT 2-2

First league game for us today for Maisie F & Mia C, first league goal for Jahmelly as well. 👏

GOTG - Nancy, absolutely ran the show today in midfield. She was everywhere on the pitch, linking up the play between midfield and attack. Created multiple chances, had a great strike saved and got an assist. On another day could have had 5 assists, superb performance 🏆

💙⚽️U10 girls v TIBS Blue⚽️🤍

Today the girls welcomed TIBS to High Tunstall.

From the very first whistle, the girls came out on the front foot, putting the opposition under pressure and showing fantastic attacking intent. The movement off the ball, passing and teamwork was brilliant to watch.

After a great shot from Emma was saved, Isabelle was in the right place at the right time to follow up and finish! Her first ever goal!

Brilliant work from Eden, who played a fantastic pass out from defence to Emma, who made no mistake with the finish!

Emma picked out a brilliant pass to Erin and Erin did what she does best and finished the move off beautifully.

Amber added to the tally showing great confidence, determination and skill to create the opportunity and find the back of the net.

Erin rounded off the scoring with another fantastic finish, this time with a lovely assist from Bonnie B.

Every single girl played their part today. The pressure, movement, passing and teamwork was fantastic. Well done girls!

U8 Girls whites!!

What a game today, we took on the absolutely lovely Middlesbrough girls and had so much fun playing our game today. The girls were fantastic, great teamwork, togertherness and confidence with a few great saves from both keepers and bags of energy thrown in from the very start.

A great game.

Our opponents accompanied us back to the Tech afterwards for some food, socialising, fun and games. A group of girls just loving football life!!

U13 girls

PYFC 3-4 Bishop Auckland

A game of two halves today with Bishop starting the stronger of the two teams and taking a lead into half time.
In the second half the team looked much more like their usual selves, created lots of chances and were unlucky to not get the score back level before the end.

Player of the match went to Rosie, often the last line of defence, strong and composed on the ball and is developing into a real leader in the team.
Mention also for Oli for a great hat trick and being a constant threat up front today.

Very proud of the resilience shown today in what is always a competitive fixture.

Pools Youth vs Seaton Sirens
What a game from the girls today! In tough weather conditions, especially in that first half when everything seemed to be against us, they worked so hard for each other. The passing was amazing, some brilliant through balls, and we were winning every challenge.

Playing a well-drilled and accurate passing team in the Seaton Sirens, we struggled to control the game in the first half. Despite difficult the conditions, the team showed exceptional work ethic and teamwork. The girls stepped it up and gave 110% for the entirety of that half to give us a chance.

In the second half, we kept the tempo high, the girls stayed sharp to every quick ball and were clinical in front of goal, slotting the ball home with real confidence.

Every player showed so much commitment and spirit, I couldn't be prouder of today's performance!

It was really hard today to award GOTG as every player could have taken it.

Special mention to Eva, solid in goal and a well-deserved clean sheet. Stayed alert to every ball in the box and working to play smart balls out.

OGOTG- Felicity, fearless in her central midfield role, accurate passing and covered every blade of grass!

Manager GOTG - Amelia, 3 goals closer to a massive milestone for a clinical, passionate player. Worked tirelessly all game and organised everyone, keeping us pushing forward.

Coaches GOTG - Samantha, only been playing a few months, but her confidence on the ball today was world-class. Making big tackles, tracking players and ice-cold footwork and working with Esmee to control all attacks.
