Experience a deeply relaxing evening of sound and stillness inside Holy Trinity Church, one of Guildford's most beautiful and atmospheric buildings.

This is the first time these large concert gongs have been played in Holy Trinity Church, making it a rare opportunity to experience the remarkable interaction between sound and the church's stunning acoustics.

Lie back, get comfortable and allow the powerful vibrations of large therapeutic gongs to wash through the space, creating a unique sound journey designed to calm the mind, release tension and restore a sense of balance.

Experienced sound therapist and historical musician Jez Smith has presented immersive gong experiences in prestigious venues including St Paul's Cathedral and regularly at Kew Gardens. This special Guildford event brings that experience to Holy Trinity Church for the first time ever.

About Me – Jez Smith
I am a historical musician with around 40 years experience, and I am a fully qualified sound therapist from BAST and COSH. I play in a wide variety of beautiful venues in the local area and London with a strong connection between sound and nature. Other venues include Kew Gardens (3 years running), Wisley Gardens, Alice Holt Forest, church settings, retreat locations in Liss, Midhurst and Bosham.

I am delighted to announced that I will be running a new gongbath session on 18th July at 7pm in the stunning setting of Holy Trinity and St Mary's, Guildford.

This will be an amazing opportunity to experience the therapeutic sounds of a range of large gongs as their deep calming tones interact with the acoustics of this incredible building.

This will be the first time the gongs have been heard in this amazing location and it will make this a very special event.
The gongs will mostly range between the 36-42 inch size in order to create a deep and powerful effect for you, creating the opportunity for a powerful dialogue between the mind and body, along with the gongs and the fantastic acoustics of the building. This interaction will provide a unique sound meditation experience like no other.

I have played in a wide variety of beautiful and inspiring settings including St Pauls Cathedral, Wisley Gardens and 4 years of sessions at Kew Gardens. I also use a sensitive multi-sensory approach to my playing style which means that I work closely with the environment to provide a powerful and yet gentle and intricate sonic meditation experience.

I hope you can join me for what will be a very memorable first sound journey event at this iconic building in the centre of Guildford.
