Last Sunday was certainly a busy one. Aside from all the awards Haslemere also hosted the Surrey U14 X-Pitch 7s!
Ten clubs brought sixteen teams for a packed morning of competitive rugby played in tremendous spirit from start to finish. A huge thank you to all the players, coaches, referees, volunteers and supporters who made the event such a success.
Most of all, we’re incredibly proud of our U14s for the way they represented the club — showing teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Our Seniors were also out in force at Sunday’s awards evening. Although the season brought some challenges, the team continued to work hard, showing great resilience and determination. Every player, coach, volunteer, and supporter played a part in pushing the team forward and never giving up.
We’re proud not just of the achievements recognised on Sunday, but of the character, commitment, and team spirit shown all season long.

Our Colts and Senior teams spent Sunday evening celebrating and bidding farewell to our U18s as they come to the end of age grade rugby. Whilst both squads have faced some challenges this season they’ve also showed true resilience and team spirit.
This is especially true of our U18s who have really stuck together throughout their time at Haslemere, and all proved themselves to be great leaders for this year’s Colts team. We’re so proud of them all, and they know they’re welcome at Haslemere for life!
The 2025/26 season awards went to:
Best Newcomer - Henry Walters
TREDS - Jacob Morris
Most Improved - Josh Smith
Most Valuable Player - Ollie Telling
Clubman - Harry Kolckzak-Gilliam
Coaches Player - Freddie Walker
Players Player - Harry Aeroporos
We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Matt Westley who has been coaching at Haslemere for 14 seasons, latterly with the Colts when he didn’t even have a son of his own playing! Matt, you will be sorely missed.
And as always a special thank you to Holly for keeping everyone safe and held together with tape!

We had a jam packed Sunday to celebrate a brilliant season for Haslemere Rugby Club.
In the afternoon our Minis, Juniors and Girls teams came together for our annual Fun Day. Our players have shown up week in week out, come rain or shine, and they celebrated the season in style, picking up awards for their dedication, development, and team spirit.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Seniors who manned the BBQ and made sure the whole event ran smoothly.
We’re incredibly proud of every young player who pulled on the HCRC shirt this year. Here’s to another season of rugby, growth, and belonging.

One of the highlights of this season has been the arrival of the new kit for our Mini’s section - the kids love wearing the club shirt when they come along to Sunday training, and everybody is given one to wear when they join. This wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our sponsors , and we’d like to say a huge thank you to them. And well done to the U7s for showing them off so nicely!

It was a fantastic afternoon at Woolmer Hill today where our U15s welcomed five teams from Petersfield, Rosslyn Park, Hove and Reeds Weybridge
Our boys made the cup semi final losing out to the eventual winners Rosslyn Park.
7s is a hugely important game for rugby in this country and for the club. To see so many people watching some really good quality 7s was fantastic, looking forward to the next event.

GOLD FINAL CHAMPIONS! The U16s put on a rampant display to beat London Irish 48-22 in the final of the Hampstead Cup. With the scores tied at 15-15 at half time the boys turned on the style after the break to lift the cup. Congratulations boys!

It wasn’t to be for the Colts today, they put their heart and soul into the match but a strong Old Emanuel side came out narrow victors, 19-17. Well played boys.
