Catch ride of the week!

Gemma Stevens had only sat on Coolnorran Cooley for the very first time on Saturday, and by the next day she'd piloted him to victory in the Stoner Jewellers All England 1.20m Open Championship at Hickstead! 🏆

And that wasn't her only win of the week; Gemma also topped Friday's Breen Equestrian 1.40m Open aboard Warrior Special! Add in her stunning first Defender Burghley Horse Trials win aboard Chilli Knight, and it's safe to say Gemma really is the woman of the moment right now.

Congratulations to Frankie Penford and catch ride, Aragon Des Dames Z ET winners of the Spidge Photography All England 1.00m Open Championship.

A competitive class saw 29 combinations battle it out for the championship title, with Frankie Penford and Aragon Des Dames Z ET producing the winning round when it counted to come out on top.

"It was my first time in the main ring and only the second time I have ridden the horse. I just needed to make sure I got the start right with a nice angle over the first." said Frankie.

The Breen Equestrian All England Grand Prix delivered exactly the finale it deserved, with a thrilling afternoon of top-class jumping in the International Arena.

After a fiercely contested class, it was Shane Breen and homebred BE Alcantara, who produced the jump off round that mattered most, keeping their cool when the pressure was on to take the title.

"She has got really clever in the ring and I can let the handbrake off." said Shane, "It's nice when you have bred them to see them come through."

A brilliant performance, a brilliant partnership, and a memorable way to close the All England September Tour.

There is no stopping Stevens!

With 32 budding combinations in the starting line up, only 9 progressed through to the jump off, but it was Gemma Stevens and Coolnorran Cooley who beat off fierce competition to take the title in the Stoner Jewellers All England 1.20m Open Championship.

A chance ride, Gemma said “I rode him yesterday, he is a wonderful horse in every way. He is an event horse, but he is an incredible jumper.”

It was Kirsty Short and Melody Chillout who got proceedings off to a winning start on the final day of the All England September Tour, with a win in the All England Novice Championship.

Out of 34 entries, 18 made it through to the jump off, with the pair storming around the International Arena in 34.96s to clinch victory in style.

"First win in the main ring, but he has jump phenomenal all week," said Kirsty, "I was just told to go fast and keep the speed up, so I did just that."

Allana Clutterbuck & Newman J were victorious in the All England 1.30m Open Championship this afternoon. Out of 32 starters, seven progressed through to the jump off, with Allana and Paul, as he is known at home, taking their maiden win in the International Arena.

Having already enjoyed a top ten finish in the 1.40 classes this week, the pair have been on flying form and very much deserved today's win.

"I've never had a win in that arena and it was a great experience, especially riding a horse as special as Paul" said Allana.

A class of their own 🔥

Georgina Ellis and Fireball X stormed to victory in The Douglas Bunn 1.35m Challenge at Hickstead today.

With only two clear rounds from the class, Georgina left no doubt and crossed the finish line almost four seconds faster than the only other clear combination to take the win.

A brilliant performance and a well-deserved victory.
