**Pool closure – Thursday 10 September**

Please be aware that the pool will be closed from 9:00 – 10:00 tomorrow (Thursday 10 September) while essential testing is carried out.

The testing is to check the accuracy of the pool depth indicators following a variance identified between the indicators and the pool floor.

The pool will reopen at 10am once the testing has been completed.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

You’ll work with talented and elite athletes across a wide range of sports, delivering S&C programmes, fitness testing and athlete development, while also taking the lead on our Performance Sport or Hertfordshire Talented Athlete Programme (HTAP).

You’ll be joining a team working alongside athletes, coaches and physiotherapists, with opportunities to deliver workshops and university teaching, mentor students and help shape the future of performance sport. 💪

Keep your first aid skills fresh and your confidence high with our Free* First Aid Refresher

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends regular refresher training to help maintain competence and support compliance - and we make it easy.

Our 1-hour refresher sessions are a great way to revisit essential first aid skills, build confidence and stay prepared to respond when it matters most.
Each month focuses on a different topic, including CPR & Defibrillation, Choking and Sprains, Strains & Fractures.

✨ *FREE for anyone who has completed a First Aid course with us and holds a valid three-year certificate. External first aid qualification participants are also welcome for just £10 per session.

Our upcoming sessions are:
📅 14 September | 4:30pm–5:30pm – Sprains, Strains & Fractures
📅 13 October | 4pm–5pm – CPR & Defibrillation
📅 30 November | 4pm–5pm – Choking

**Swimming pool re-opening update**

The pool will reopen today at 13:00, following the essential maintenance works.

Due to the final commissioning of the new hydraulic system, the pool will initially reopen at a 17 metre length rather than the usual 25 metres.

We’ll provide a further update as soon as the pool is able to return to its full 25 metre length.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these essential works.

This nationally recognised RLSS UK qualification is the perfect next step for experienced lifeguards and aquatic professionals, giving you the skills to train and assess the lifeguards of tomorrow.

If you’re a qualified lifeguard, first aider, swimming teacher with rescue awards, or pool responder, this could be your opportunity to step into a trainer role and make a real difference in water safety.
