A tough start to the season for the girls today facing a strong Fleur De Lys team.

Not the result we wanted but some good spells of play, some great individual performances and lots to take away and work on.

Massive well done to Anna for receiving managers player and Issy for picking up parents player on her All Stars debut!

They both put in a great shift today with brilliant attitudes, fantastic work rate and great determination!

⚽️ U15 PVP Rockets v Moneyfields ⚽️

Really competitive game today against a good Moneyfields side. The boys worked their socks off and overall we deserved the win… although we may be slightly biased. 😅

We didn’t quite hit the standards we’ve set ourselves at times and played a few more long balls than I’d like, but there was plenty to be happy with. Lots of hard work, plenty of battles and some really good football at times.

We also got to watch football and a whole load of MMA all in one game. Result. 😂🥊

Brilliant finish from Jeevesy for the first goal, and it was brilliant how alert Leon was to follow in for the second. ⚽️👏

Big well done to Josh, who picked up Players’ Player of the Match after a great battle against their CF. Great game mate 💪

Coaches’ Player of the Match went to Danny. Didn’t stop running and was tough to beat all game. What more can you ask for? 💪

Got a feeling this league is going to be very tight, so we’re in for some really good games ahead.

🚀 MATCH RESULT | ROCKETS 5–1 BISHOP’S WALTHAM DYNAMOS 🚀
The Rockets kicked off their league campaign this morning with a fantastic 5–1 victory against a good Bishop’s Waltham Dynamos side. 👏
It took the lads a little while to get up to speed in the first half, but as the game went on, they grew into it more and more and eventually ran out deserving winners.
⭐ Parents’ Player – Teddy ⭐
This boy is adding so many different dynamics to his game and is really starting to find the back of the net in so many different ways. A fantastic hat-trick today saw Teddy deservedly pick up the Parents’ Player award. ⚽⚽⚽
💪 Coaches’ Player – Roo 💪
Our dynamic attacking midfielder/striker was an absolute powerhouse today. He left everything out on the pitch, battled for every ball and grabbed 2 goals himself. A top performance and thoroughly deserved recognition. ⚽⚽

Today our Under 11s kicked off their season with their first home game against Chichester City.
Before kick-off, we held a minute’s applause to show our respect for Tim, a much-loved and greatly missed member of the PVP committee.
What a great start to the season! The girls really held their own in a physical game, showing plenty of determination and fighting spirit. Communication was much improved today, with some great passing and some fantastic shots at goal!
A huge thank you to James for refereeing the game for us today and for your continued commitment to the team. We really appreciate you!

for her incredible commitment to the team, turning up and giving it her all even when she wasn’t feeling well. You worked so hard today, showed real determination and never shied away from a battle.
🏆Parents Player went to Blossom. An absolute rock at the back today! Blossom passed the ball brilliantly and truly lived up to her role as vice-captain, helping organise and lead the team throughout the game.

Tonight we played our final pre-season friendly against Paulsgrove.
We always have a really good battle against Paulsgrove, and tonight was no different. The girls worked so hard from start to finish, communicated well, passed the ball and moved into space, and most importantly, they were showing up for each other.
Well done to every single girl for putting in a shift tonight and digging deep when we needed it. It was a fantastic battle throughout, finishing 4-4!

🏆Coaches Players went to Laila & Grace - both worked tirelessly all game, never gave up and were strong in a tackle.
🏆Parents Player went to Hope for her fantastic communication, great saves and commanding her area really well.

The U13 Jets played in the Hampshire Cup today with a great performance and 1-0 win over a great Gosport side.

A good physical game separated by a superb goal from the Jets.

Some great play between Jude, Freddie and Will who then played an incisive pass through to Big Max. An absolutely superb cross by Max for Roo with his effort saved but then emphatically followed up by our captain. A very slick move from those lads 👏 ⚽️

POTM for Leo who really stood out in such a physical game. Winning all his duels and showing great composure on the ball. Well done to Leo!

A great start to the season for the Jets with a good win and clean sheet to go into the second round of the Hampshire Cup with us starting our league fixtures next week.

Great way to start the season for our U15s 🚀

No pre-season games, whole new shape with a couple of lads in new positions, and against a side who defended deep.

Kept moving the ball, kept doing the right things, and kept our heads in the game. Pleasure to see it played in such great spirit by both sides.

Big mentions:
Coaches MOTM - Ted. First game at CDM and absolutely bossed it. Battled, forward passes, and leaves everything out there. Even had manky toes to prove it at full time 😂 Class.

Parents Player of the match - Darvey. What a competitive debut. 2 goals, a left foot shot that nearly took the crossbar clean off, and their left back will be seeing you in his sleep. 👏

Into the hat for the next round of the cup. Love that. Cracking start. 🚀
