Despite the rumours, the PKC is still a fully operational club. We remain the premier kayaking club in the area.

Launching Master George oversaw a successful first launch at our specially built launching facility.

This has been a rite of passage for generations of Porthgain paddlers.

Kayaks. Canoes. Paddleboards. What do they all have in common? 🌊🌊🌊

..They’re quite often found on the coastline or drifting out to sea. And if we don’t know who they belong to, we can spend time searching for an owner when they’re home safe and sound. 🏡

So please help us to help you. Label your kit so that if you do get separated from it, and it turns up somewhere, we can get hold of you.

To help you do that – you can order, for free online, our outdoor label name tags which are very easy to use. Simply write your contact details onto the paper side and stick onto your piece of equipment.

📢 New Canoe Wales paddling guidance issued 📢

With the changes in lockdown rules coming into effect today, we have issued new guidance on our website. Please read the full guidance before you paddle by clicking the link and help us spread the word by sharing our infographic below - you need to click on the image to see the full graphic.

We advise all members to be properly equipped before kayaking. A good fitting wetsuit, a buoyancy aid, a whistle, and a form of communication (mobile or VHS radio) is the minimum you should have before setting out.

Kayakers rescued by coastguard were ‘very lucky’ A GROUP of people in an inflatable kayak had to be rescued by the Coastguard on Saturday (May 30) evening.

Gethin Rowlands

Gethin is the Chief Marketing Officer and all round social media wizard and joined the club after promoting us on his Instagram story. Although yet to make his maiden voyage with the club, Gethin is a fantastic navigator and is persuing a career as a pirate. Good luck Gethin!

Zak Morgan

PKC’s Chief Medical Officer Zak is a key member of the PKC and joined in summer 2019. His style of kayak is known as the PKC original and he is comfortable out at sea due to his long career in lifeguarding.
