In-house Show
🍁Autumn Series 🍁
(1) WORKING HUNTER SHOW
Sunday 6th September
Open to all Loaners & Previous Loaners, who now have their own ponies.

Summer Show didn’t happen! - It was too hot and too much to ask our horses to do many rounds with lots of riders so…
We have decided to split our Summer Show into a series of shows, during the Autumn, now that the weather has cooled!

First one is the Working Hunter Show.
Rosettes, trophies and rider points.

Rustic course of jumps, in the arena,
Show and trot up in the paddock.

Rosettes for all.
Please message for more info on classes and how to enter.

Golden Fun Ride 2026.
Thankyou to all who came along and supported.
So many lovely, kind messages coming through, lots of photos on fb and even new profile pics for some!
A great turnout, the timings worked well and everyone enjoyed the route.
Goody bags were well received - and everyone said the views were just incredible!
Little drizzley showers didn’t do any harm, the rainbows added that bit of extra St Brides magic!

The baking was top notch.
Thanks to Linda (Nanny) - there was nothing left! Mum rocked up with all the goodies as usual and the cups! A car boot full of freshly baked treats- The carrot cake, lemon drizzle & chocolate muffins didn’t last long at all. Thankyou xx

Thankyou Wendy, Jane & Louise for coming along and making it even more fun; testing the goods, drinking coffee out of soup bowls, gator spins and breaking doors!
We laughed all day 😂

Time for the blue markers to come up and the plough to go in! Thankyou Geoff Lewis, having ‘all these horses over your land!’
Perfect timing this year - all done now, so we can close all those gates we left open. 😂

Until next year- Hope to see you all for the
Royal Blue Fun Ride in May!

🎗️It was really good to get out and ride the golden route with some of our Thursday loaners yesterday. No road work, no gates, just fields and tracks on a circular 6 mile route.
A few optional, very small jumps in the woods and a couple in front of the castle.
The tide is right over the next few days, so a little bit of sand to enjoy before a paddle.

Last day taking bookings - please message if you want to ride the charity fun ride on Sunday. Spaces at 11am and 2pm only now.

🎗️In preparation for our Charity fun ride, this Sunday, our loaners get to try out the Golden Route!

Thursday riders are trialling it today- always good to check the marked route is easy to follow!!

To add to the fun, I HAD to put two jumps in - it wouldn’t be right to hold an event without the Prosecco wings in front of the castle, at the end.

The ground is hard - but we had a little rain this am and a bit more promised Saturday morning too 🤞🤞

🎗️Children’s Cancer Awareness🎗️

(The story behind our fundraiser:
One of our previous loaning riders, inspires us all! Amelie Kessels
Amelie started loaning with us after her last cancer treatment. Her love of horses helped her to become stronger in her riding, she worked so hard, she made many friends out hacking, schooling & competing.
She now has her own pony Charlie, who she brings on the Golden Fun Ride each year.

It must be haunting to hear those fearful words of a childs’ diagnosis, as a parent.
The impact it had on her and her family; how brave they all were through treatment, the suffering and then thankfully the recovery, and photos of Amelie ringing that bell!! 🥰 It always brings tears to my eyes when I hear about her journey.

Please come and support our charity fun ride if you can!

The final views of the ride below, around the golden stubble corn field, along the walled coastal parkland in front of St. Brides Castle and then down onto the little beach at St. Brides for a paddle to finish!

Sunday 30th August
Golden Fun Ride (Charity 🎗️)

We have two routes marked out.
A Long route (blue stakes) which can be easily shortened
&
A lead rein route/ walkers / dog walkers (pink stakes).

The longer route is 6 miles, no road work. We rode this last night. It’s beautiful!!
Includes stubble fields, tracks, woodland, castle views, church views and optional paddle at the beach to finish.
Riding stake to stake, includes the headlands of every field. Roughly 2 hours, steady pace.

We then rode the long route a second time, from gate to gate, not around each field, and it was just over 3 miles. Only took about 1.5 hours, again at a steady pace.

The ground is hard!
We walked nearly all of it, there are a couple of grass fields which felt ok for trotting and gentle canters.

This one is a ride to be enjoyed slowly, take in the views.
Our fields are coastal, but not cliff edge! We have boundary walls, then the coast path on the perimeter.
Riders can really appreciate the amazing coastline of St Brides Bay - it’s close but still a safe feeling!

Message to book in.
Bookings only, before Friday - as it’s a popular ride we like to keep numbers safe and times spread out.
