We run 3 Race Meetings every year at Hawick Moor from April to September, and work closely with Langholm, Selkirk, Lockerbie, Irvine and Hawick Common Riding to ensure a great day out for the racing spectator, horses and trainers.

All roads lead to Hawick Moor on Saturday for some early afternoon racing!

33 horses are entered for the four-race card, with 8 set to race in the feature race of the day, the Peter Pan Handicap over 7 furlongs and with a prize pot of £3000.

This still leaves a strong field to feature in the other three races, which together should make for a great meeting.

Entry to the course is £10 and includes a racecard and a raffle ticket.

A bar, food stall and bookmakers will all be in attendance! The first race is off at 1pm!

We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

You have came a long way in a short space of time from winning the Golden Mile at Selkirk on Cash It In. 🏆

Well done and we wish you all the best for many more winners to come. 👏

Following our recent EGM and the first meeting of the newly formed committee, we can confirm a change to our initial plans and announce the intention to hold two HHRA race meetings in September:

📅 Saturday 5th September (Peter Pan Meeting)
📅 Sunday 13th September

For now, get these dates in your diary, and more information on both meetings will be released very soon.

Encouragingly, a whole host of new, enthusiastic committee members have stepped forward to help take the Association forward:

Murray Renwick
Callum Murphy
Les Chandler
Martin Chandler
Keith Smyth
David Irvine
Alice Robb
Murray Butler
Colin Telfer
Ian McKean
Ian Wilson
Carly Scott
Ryan Scott
Mark Nichol
Euan Welsh
Fergus Bell
Gary Scott

As we begin this new chapter for HHRA, we also want to take a moment to sincerely thank those committee members who have stepped down or moved on. A huge amount of time, effort and commitment has been given, and we are extremely grateful for everything they have contributed.

There is plenty of work to be done, but there is a real energy within the new committee and a determination to build a positive future for flapping in Hawick.

5th & 13th September. Save the dates. 🏇
