Steve Lampier Cycling Services coached athletes were in action today at the Mid Devon Cycling Club Primavera Pursuits

The Pursuit style of racing added in a unique dynamic of racing, with groups being “Handicapped” on abilities. In theory the latter group you are in reflects your better ability. However these are subjective to the organisation.

Today’s race was no different with Nick Makin & Oli Wade taking the start. Oli being in the scratch group had his work cut out having to makeup a 2 min deficit on Nick. Despite a really strong hard chase the groups ahead had the bit between their teeth and it remained a 20sec by the finish.

Nick having set of in group 4 had a strong aggressive race. However they couldn’t close down the 3 who went away from a 1st group. He had a powerful sprint to cross the line in 2nd for 5th
•
The boss even had a outing! Starting in the scratch group he polices the group well. A solid showing after just 9weeks riding in his legs…
•
All riders had a great race and good workout. Things are looking good for upcoming objectives

Steve Lampier Cycling Services provides a first class premium Chain Waxing Service.

Step 1- 3 stage chain cleaning process to remove all dirt, particles and or manufacturing grease.
Step 2- Ultra sonic bath to make sure fully clean
Step 3- Methylated spirt bath to remove any residue from the ultrasonic bath and make sure the wax sticks better
Step 4- Hot wax dip with premium wax, fully submerged and agitated to fully coat and get the wax into the chain rollers
Step 5- Hung to dry so the wax hardens as chain drys.
Step 6- Work the links loose, brush in Premium PTFE powder for further increased watt savings
Step 7- Posted back 1st class signed for
