Action Wargames presents: 'Siege Airsoft'

Hi ! Don't get too excited.. This isn't Airsoft related exactly but with the horrific situation in Ukraine at the moment there are quite a few Ukrainians bravely heading back from Cornwall and other areas to support their country. Some of them have been in touch via groups in search of kevlar helmets and body armour plates in particular. If anyone has any quality items they would like to donate to a most worthy cause then please let me know and I can point you in the right direction.

Hello ! A quick update from the team at Action Wargames. Firstly, thank you to everyone who were supporting the games pre lock-down and for the messages during and after about re-opening, we also hope everyone is keeping well in these challenging times.

So, where to start, 2020 turned out to be a mad one.. We were locked and loaded for a great summer of woodland and CQB Airsoft action only to have to close the doors for an undetermined length of time. At one point it looked like I’d have some time off to focus on the site and reopen with a bang, however that lasted a total of 5 days.

So.. nothing really got done. The situation now then is the CQB is actually in ok shape, a little overgrown but fairly tidy otherwise and based on our last games was playing well and nicely balanced for the teams. The woods are looking a bit overgrown as you’d expect but otherwise good, very green with lots of cover. Unfortunately though there’s more to reopening than just having the arenas ready.

While we are able to run games again now with certain precautions and limitations in place it would mean a very different day to what we normally do, with that in mind and the lack of time I have personally to put the required precautions needed in place let alone organise a cracking day of Airsoft for you all, we’ve decided to postpone the reopening until a time when it can be done with all the correct precautions in place and to the standard everyone deserves.

We hope you all understand the situation and rest assured that when we do re-open it will be done properly and better than ever !

With all that’s going on in the world it’s easy to forget the sacrifices of the past made for our present and future. Today is a reminder of the men and women of all colours, races and religions who came together to fight evil 76 years ago.

While anger and frustration seem to have reached boiling point across the world again, we’ve come so far in the last couple of generations towards racial unity that to burn the bridges hard built so far would be a huge disrespect to all before us who gave us the power to change society for the better safely and peacefully.

Stay safe and hope to catch everyone soon after these crazy times.

Looks like this virus is getting serious, the numbers don’t lie and if we can’t reduce interactions between people for a good few weeks then things could get pretty bad for a longer time, so for now we won’t be holding any games.

Please take care of yourselves and others and do your bit by social distancing or isolation for a while and we hope to see everyone healthy and virus free very soon 😎

Hope everyone had a great day Airsofting ! After dodging the rain this morning with some CQB we got a stunning afternoon in the woods followed by more CQB.. Infected style games and tank convoy outside and team death matches and zombies inside.. Well fought by everyone and nicely balanced teams made for a great day, thanks to Alan Curtis for organising and hope to catch you all again soon 😁

Game on tomorrow 0900. -1530 🔥 Without wanting to stoke the media hysteria if you aren’t not feeling well with flu like symptoms then come join us for a game ! Alan will be organising most of the day so expect some interesting scenarios and CQB tips and tricks and realistic scenarios. I’m going to be dusting off my g*t for some trigger time so hope to see you all there 😁
