Nice little blast from the past
When we received our Club Mark from President Robin Otani
With everyone that had contributed to getting our award

Today we took a squad of 13 members to the
Shizentai Rumble Championships and came away with 13 medals
First up was 4 year old Kamiyah walker Hall her very first competitive competition with
Mum & Dad Beth & Calvin both judo coaches nervously looking on 🤣🥋
Kamiyah won all her fights to take Gold

tonight lots of good retention of technical work and drills and good application in contest pools
The coaches are happy with what we are trying to do in adapting the grading syllabus in our own way and it seems to be paying dividends

Keep pushing the boundaries and working hard and the rewards will come

We held a club Championships this evening.
Really just to give members who haven't done a Championships before in a controlled safe environment to compete.
We had a special guest presenting the medals tonight
Tesco's community champion
Tricia Glenister who has been very supportive to our club which is very much appreciated

As little Dory Savage who has at to rest from judo with some heath issues But was determine to have a go she's a real little fighter with great spirit

Another well attended sessions.
Primary class working on improving their techniques using uchi komi drills. Followed with randori to test their improved skills. Everyone trained well.

Very humid evening tonight numbers down as a lot of kids went back to school today
Nevertheless primary's did some good grading revision tonight with a few drills

It is with heavy heart the sad news that Mr G R Mealing vice president of the british judo council as sadly past away at the grand old age of 98years
Mr Mealng aka The Guv'nor to me was a very wise influential funny supportive gentleman and will be sadly missed
