Henley Dragon Boat & Outrigger Racing Team Henley Dragons are based in the heart of Henley. The club doesn't just train in 10 and 20 man dragon boats. National champions! So why not give it a go?

Their multi-million pound club house at The Eyot Centre includes a strength and conditioning gym, a large hall, large changing rooms as well as a multitude of water sports. It also has single boats and outriggers (think Hawaii 5-0) and there will always be someone looking to get some extra time on the water. We compete around England and in 2019 had the most successful season in the club's history. We are always looking to improve and always looking to welcome new paddlers into our team. We have a great team of coaches led by James Blake (Head Coach); they have coached paddlers up to international level and in 2018 Henley Dragons had 11 of their club compete for Great Britain, many of these being our inspiring youth members! It may turn out not to be for you but until you have tried it you won't know! You may even find yourself going to compete internationally for Team GB!

Henley Dragon Boat & Outrigger Racing Team look forward to welcoming you all to the HWS event on the 29 March 2026! We’re collating entries & are preparing the Centre for your arrival!

08:00 - Boats arrive
08:00-08:40- Crew Registration (all admin to be completed by 08:40 latest) - crew managers receive a numbered bib from race admin to be worn by helms/drummers & steerers.
08:45 - Marshall briefing
09:00 - Safety briefing for all crew managers, helms & steerers
09:15 - All paddler briefing
09:30 - Boats launch (all boats to be checked by a boat marshal before leaving the jetty) DBs can launch early & raft together. Not to leave the jetty before being checked.
10:00 - Race start time (outriggers & DBs)
10:15 - SUP race start
12:00 - 12:30 - Results & Prize Giving

Henley’s fabulous seven took to the GBO Winter Sprints at Silverwing Lake today & had a fabulous time! Congratulations to all those who raced…it was an absolute pleasure to be there! Henley came away with 🥈 in the men’s 500m sprint, 🥇 in the mixed 500m sprint, 🥇 in the men’s 1,000m turn & 🥈 in the mixed 1,000m turn races. 🌟 🌟
