A special community
There’s something genuinely special about putting an event on and watching a community show up for it.
140+ people came together that day, and looking back, that’s the part we loved most. Not just the fundraising, but the actual bringing people together.
Strangers teeing off side by side, sponsors backing a cause before they’d even seen it in action, families turning up just to be part of something.
That’s what a shared cause does, it gives people a reason to stand next to each other for a day.
Some of that community showed up in quieter ways too. One hole carried a name we’ll never forget, sponsored by the Bishop family, in loving memory of Pat. Events like this exist because people want somewhere to put that love.
That’s the real reason we keep putting these events on.
