🥋 HELPING KIDS BE AWESOME! 🥋

Every parent wants their child to grow into a confident, capable and happy young person.

At Hereford Combat Academy, we use martial arts to help children discover what they’re capable of — building confidence, discipline, focus, resilience and self-belief while having fun, making friends and becoming part of a team. 💪

And it’s about much more than learning to kick and punch…

🥋 Confidence & self-belief
🧠 Improved focus, discipline & concentration
🤝 Social skills, friendships & teamwork
💪 Fitness, coordination & physical wellbeing
🎯 Goal setting & learning to overcome challenges
🛡️ Practical self-defence skills
🏆 Competitions & opportunities to challenge yourself
😊 Fun, positive and encouraging environment

With age-specific classes from 4 years old, every child can learn at a pace that’s right for them:

☯️ Tiny Taz: 4–7 years
☯️ Junior Taz: 8–12 years
☯️ 12 years+ & Adults

Our fully equipped, matted Academy is led by 7th Dan Black Belt Head Coach Sensei Simon Small, who has 40 years of experience in martial arts and four decades of helping people become better versions of themselves.

Supported by a team of qualified and experienced Black Belt coaches and Junior Leaders, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where every child is encouraged, supported and challenged to be their best.

🌟 WHY NOT COME AND SEE FOR YOURSELF? 🌟

Your child can experience the Academy with a FREE TRIAL LESSON — no obligation, just come along, have fun and see what they think!

Whether your child wants to become fitter, more confident, learn self-defence, make new friends, compete, or simply try something new…

There’s a place for them at Hereford Combat Academy. ❤️🥋

"THE IMPORTANCE OF COMPETITION IN CHILDREN'S EDUCATION"
Competitions are not only about winning or losing, they are about learning how to live.
When a child enters a ring, tatami, Dojo - they are not fighting only with somebody. It's confrontation with themselves.
The child is afraid, anxious, brave, frustrated...
And all in a safe environment, surrounded by those who encourage it.
Every championship is a real opportunity to mature.
There the child learns to control their emotions, to concentrate under pressure, to rise after a fall and to understand that effort is not a guarantee of victory but a way to progress.
This is a preparation for maturity - where challenges are everyday, the "opponents" are internal, and the greatest result is not to give up.
Healthy racing teaches empathy, discipline and self-awareness.
The one who competes today is strengthening themself for the world of tomorrow.
Because awards will one day rust.
But what they went through...... will stay in the mind forever.
