This time last week I was just heading home after the most wonderful holiday in Slovenia on a swimming and walking tour with . It’s quite hard to put into words just how great it was so here are just 3 top reasons!
1. Slovenia is just beautiful - mountains everywhere (but the walks we did weren’t too hard) and the water was up there with the best I’ve ever seen. Clear and blue (and cold but that didn’t stop me!)
2. Mikaela, the owner of More to Explore, was just so good! Her knowledge about everything (culture, history, environment) was quite incredible and she just made the whole group feel at ease! I hope to be as good a host as her and will be swotting up on my local knowledge as a result of the trip!
3. Food and drink was plentiful! We had lovely meals out, local specialities cooked by our accommodation hosts and PLENTY of snacks 🤣🤣
And actually finally I can’t finish without mentioning the other ladies on the tour who also made the trip! If you are worried about taking a solo trip, don’t be! Undoubtably someone else will be feeling just as nervous as you but you’ll soon find things in common and you can always talk about swimming! I really hope to keep in contact with the ladies on our tour and maybe even go on another tour next year 🤞

First swim together of 2025 today to celebrate Kate’s 40th Birthday!
We haven’t seen each other in what feels like ages so there was lots to catch up on and we couldn’t have timed it better. The sun shone down on us as we warmed up afterwards, whilst munching on the best birthday brownies!
