Happy Weekend! Looking forward to some chilled time this weekend then back on the green Monday evening! Looking forward to it.. it’s down time from work and sets me up for a relaxing evening knowing I’ve done something to support my physical, mental and spiritual health.

Just wanted to share this data from one of my kickstarter clients… we did a fit test week 1 and then again on week 8.
I add up all the reps for each exercise to give an overall score.
The purpose of the fit test is to demonstrate progress.
Week 1 - 530
Week 8 - 702
That is with a week off with an injury!
This is fantastic progress and just goes to show what can be achieved with determination and following a plan!
I am so delighted 🤩

Taking care of yourself takes many forms and you have to adapt to what your body and soul needs. A few years ago I was pounding out high intensity cardio workouts burning off 700+ calories in an hour. It was a slog, I was exhausted and suffered numerous aches and pains and minor injuries. As a result I couldn’t get into the clothes I wanted and I felt frustration and failure.
Fast forward a few years - older and wiser. I do low impact cardio every morning for 20 mins bur by off around 150 calories, I walk between 12000-20000 steps a days and do weight and resistance training with my clients. I accept some days I will walk under 10000 steps and that is fine. I don’t have any aches and pains. No injuries. I look forward to my workouts and have the energy to paddle and walk with my son to watch the sunset after seeing 3 clients…after a days work with 3 year olds. I don’t feel failure because every little bit of this is an achievement.
Oh and I’ve lost over 27 lb since over the last year, just under 2 stone.
