A BIG WEEKEND OF RINK HOCKEY IN THE SOUTH EAST! 🏑

What a fantastic weekend of action across the SECRHA.
Teams from across our region were out on the rink competing, developing, learning and, most importantly, enjoying their hockey.
From our younger players taking their next steps in the game, through to our older age groups and senior players, weekends like this show just how much rink hockey there is to be proud of in the South East.
Our aim is simple: keep growing our region, create more opportunities to play, support our clubs and get more people involved in rink hockey.
A huge thank you to all the players, coaches, officials, volunteers, parents and supporters who make these weekends possible. Every game played and every new player welcomed into a club helps move our sport forward.

📸 Here are just some of the teams in action this weekend!
Keep playing. Keep developing. Keep growing.

Our u15’s returned to the rink for their first games of the 2026 season with three matches in Herne Bay. This was a new team with players changing age groups and we welcomed Keeva and Ralphie for their first HBU matches.

First up was the local derby with Herne Bay. In what was a closely fought game 2 second half goals secured the victory.

Next was Farnham, who are the team to beat this season. The team gave everything in a tough defensive effort but were ultimately unable to match their opponents.

Finally we played Maidstone in what was another impressive performance from the team and kept another clean sheet whilst scoring 4 goals.

It was amazing to see how the team gelled and every player stepped up and contributed at some point.

Results:

HBU 2 HB 0
HBU 1 Farnham 5
HBU 4 Maidstone 0

Our U13s kicked off their season today with three competitive matches at Bay Sports Arena:

🔵 HBU 2-8 Farnham
🟡 HBU 8-7 Maidstone
🔵 HBU 6-12 Farnham

With three players taking part in their first competitive matches, we were so impressed with the standard of play from this young team. There was some great attacking hockey, good tracking back and plenty of determination across all three games.

They all did brilliantly. A really promising start to the season! 💙💛
