We held our annual safety capsize drill session this weekend. This is an important skill to know and learn but it's also a lot of fun!
We learn how to roll out of a boat, get back in the boat, throw a throw line and drag them in, swim 50 meters as well as tread water for a couple of minutes.
and HBARC joined forces to get our members in the water and confident for the season ahead.
Thank you to everyone who attended and those who helped.

It's International Women's Day and we have so many stunning women and girls in our club who deserve the recognition for their volunteering, planning, driving around, enthusiasm, strength and determination! We love you ladies!

On Sunday a handful of our juniors took part in the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta (JIRR) trials. They travelled to Dorney Lake to row time trials alongside other clubs from the South coast.
The event showcases top young rowers (J15/J16) representing their respective regions.
The main event is on Saturday 25 April 2026.
We had a J15 girls quad, double scull and three single sculls take part.
These girls have been training as much as possible for the past few months (thank you for use of your pontoon). And well done to for all of the organising and coaching (it hasn't finished yet though 😉).

On the water and in our hearts: taking advantage of the stunning winter sun this remembrance Sunday while wearing red/pink kit and displaying our poppies. We remember those who lost their lives in ww1 and ww2. Lest we forget!
