After a few frustrating weeks battling the weather, we’re delighted to be back for junior training this Wednesday at Herne Bay Sports Hub!

Whether your child is completely new to cricket or already plays regularly, everyone is welcome to come along and get involved.

Another away trip for Herne Bay CC this Saturday as we travel to Ash CC in Division 8 action 🏏

After a tough result last weekend, Bay will be looking to bounce back and get back to winning ways against a strong Ash side.

🌧️ TRAINING CANCELLED | WEDNESDAY 10TH JUNE 🌧️

Unfortunately, due to the recent weather and the forecasted weather this week, we’ve made the decision to cancel junior training.

The forecast is looking much brighter from next week onwards and we’re hoping for a more settled spell of weather so we can get back into a regular routine.

We wanted to make the decision early rather than leave players and parents waiting until the last minute, allowing everyone to make alternative plans for the evening.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to seeing everyone back at Herne Bay Sports Hub next week! 🏏💙

Congratulations to Suryaveer Nayyar, who picks up this week’s award after making an impact with both bat and ball.

Surya top scored for Herne Bay with 21 runs before producing the standout bowling performance of the day, taking 3 wickets and helping reduce Willesborough to 35-3 during the chase.

A strong all-round contribution and a performance full of energy and commitment from start to finish. Well deserved, Surya 👏💙

A disappointing result for Herne Bay CC on the road as Willesborough CC claimed victory by 4 wickets.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Bay posted 132. Contributions came throughout the order with Suryaveer Nayyar and Mustafa Khan both making 21, while Bilal Habibi added 16.

With the ball, Herne Bay made an excellent start. Surya led the way with 3 wickets, reducing Willesborough to 35-3 early in the chase. Jujhar Singh and Kieran Sohail also chipped in as Bay battled hard in the field.

Despite the effort, Willesborough recovered to reach the target with just over five overs remaining.

Plenty of positives to take forward and another valuable 9 points collected.
