Herne Bay FC Women are excited to announce and welcome our 1st Team management and coaching lineup for the upcoming season, to take the team and club to the next level.
Russell Pope joins us as 1st Team Manager having spent 4 years as Assistant Manager with Norwegian club Roa who compete in the Toppserien, the highest level of women’s football in Norway; working with some of Europes top players and getting to go up against teams who competed in the Women’s Champions League. Russell has also worked with Sutton United and Dover Athletic.
Nico Cotton, a local legend joins us as 1st Team coach; an ex professional footballer with Southend United, Nico has valuable experience of the women’s game gained from local academies including Millwalls P16 Academy at Archbishops School
Dan Smith joins this exciting line up of coaches having recently been the Head Coach at Margate FC Women as well as experience from coaching in the United States to being an academy coach and also working as a Community Coach with Charlton Athletic. A player himself across Kent at various levels, notably for Whitstable Town but we won’t hold that against him!
Completing our 1st Team coaching lineup is our legendary Goalkeeper Coach, Brian Snipp who is now in his 7th season with us.

Our recent recruitment drive has attracted some incredible talent and there is still time to come along and join us with our last open training session on Thursday 18th June, 8-10pm at Herne Bay FC.
