Last night, continuing the theme of ‘kigu undo’ - using equipment for some extra conditioning.
Using:
Chi’ishi for developing strength and stability in the upper body and core
Nigiri game for grip strength and stability
Makiage for strengthening forearms and wrists

Just a few photos from last night’s black belt class. The small group allowed us to work on some traditional strength training with the chi’ishi. Kata, kumite and good discussion followed.

Sh**un Martial Arts School has returned to the heart of Herne Bay, opening The Dojo in Mortimer Street, and to celebrate we’re offering FREE lessons for all new starters for the whole of January.

Whether you’re completely new to martial arts, returning after a break, or looking for something you can do alongside your kids, we offer a welcoming and supportive environment for all ages and abilities.

7–9pm: Uechi Ryu Karate new starters (all ages, all abilities)

5–6pm: Little Dragons Aikido (6–9 yrs)
6–7pm: Teen Aikido (9–15 yrs)
