Firstly I would like to thank each and every one of you for giving us the time to reflect on this whole situation
We are a team at Huntsman and we felt that it was imperative to have the opportunity to meet with our staff to communicate with each other on the subject in full detail
I can happily say that we are unified as a team in how we want to lead here at Huntsman
We do not in anyway support the views that have been projected by Greg Glassman, the CEO of CrossFit or ANY actions/words that are expressed to create division for that matter
We have always been and will continue to be supportive to ANYONE that walks into our box. Those who have experienced our environment can attest to this. We do not tolerate ANY inequality within our 4 walls and will be looking at set policies going forward to solidify this
CrossFit was an idea and a movement, it changed our thought process on what was physically and mentally possible but above all it is a community. The actions of one person are not a reflection of an entire movement
We have been operating for nine years as a CrossFit gym and in our four walls we have created our own unique culture and values that we pride ourselves on
Here at Huntsman we hope to see appropriate action from the leadership at CrossFit HQ, which acknowledges the feedback by box owners, athletes and other members of our community. We hope to see CrossFit evolve, become better, stronger and we are confident that with the right support it will surpass what was previously nurtured
We hope to be part of this change and therefore will continue our journey, monitoring the situation closely, and supporting our members through the challenging times that we are all facing
Whatever decisions we make in the future we will always be listening and putting the interests of our community first
Thank you, Chris
