Hertford Cycle Hub has signed and fully supports the local petition asking Hertfordshire County Council to take action over vehicles parking on Sustrans National Cycle Route 61 through Hertford.
Route 61 is part of the National Cycle Network and is an important local route for people cycling, walking and wheeling through our town. Yet sections of the route are regularly being used for vehicle parking.
For a cycle route to genuinely encourage people to travel actively — particularly families, children and less confident cyclists, it needs to be safe, accessible and kept clear.
The petition is asking Hertfordshire County Council to implement a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to prevent vehicles from parking on this section of the route.

The more local support the petition receives, the stronger the message to HCC that this needs addressing.
