Whoop!
A win, PB and New British Record! 🎉🙌
How insane is this finish line!? 🤩🇩🇪
Cold and windy morning in Berlin🥶💨, but delighted to be the first British woman to win the Berlin Half Marathon! 🙌
I felt my hamstring tighten badly around 1km to go. Fingers crossed it's just cramp, but thanks for all the lovely messages! 🥰

Well that was a refreshing run tonight .
Sometimes you think of any excuse not to go , too cold , tired , hungry or basically can’t be bothered
I thought all of those excuses tonight . Even though it felt like the longest 5k ever and just one other runner for company it was soooo worth it . Glad I went 🏃♀️.

Here at Run Mummy Run we were devastated to hear the news about Eliza Fletcher, 34-year-old mother of two and teacher, who was abducted and killed on her early morning run.
Another woman going about her daily life that ended in tragedy; another family left heartbroken and forever changed.
We’re also deeply saddened by the amount of ‘victim blaming’ we’ve seen on social media and traditional media over this case.
So many mums (and dads) have to take whatever time they can for themselves, fitting in a run around the children and work and everything that comes with that. We run early in the morning and late at night. And we should all be able to do that safely.
As female runners, we all have to think about and take precautions on our runs. We wear bright clothes, and carry personal alarms, and let someone know where we’re going, and have tracking apps, and don’t wear our hair in a ponytail, and don’t listen to loud music, and plan our routes with care, and avoid certain areas… and it’s exhausting.
Imagine a world where anyone can just grab their trainers and leave the house at any time, enjoy a lovely run in their local area, and then arrive safely back at home without a second thought? Wouldn’t that be a better world to live in?
So today, we are thinking of Eliza and her family, especially those children who have lost their mum. We are thinking of every women who has left their home on a normal day, going about a normal activity, and has not returned home.
