And just like that… it’s time to go home 😭🇪🇸

Just as we start settling into villa life, it’s time to leave again!

One last trip into town for the DIY shops… with a very important stop at the English shop for a bacon butty 🥓😂

Got back to the villa and the keys didn’t work 🤦‍♀️🔑 So back into town I go… WILL IT EVER END?! 😂

We said goodbye to some of the lovely friends we’ve made here, who have helped us so much already 🤍

Starlink is now securely on the roof… is it working? Of course it bloody isn’t 😂📡

Another trip full of jobs, laughs, disasters and memories.

Every time we leave, it gets that little bit harder. One day we won’t have to say goodbye… we’ll just be home. 🇪🇸🏡🤍

Working away inbetween his gym sessions & walks.

Lots of little jobs to tackle today — the kind that don’t look like much but somehow take ALL day! 😂

Time to put him to work… retirement can wait! 👀🤣

If it can go wrong… it WILL go wrong! 😂🙈

We thought getting the washing machine in would be a nice, simple job…

Of course it didn’t fit in the gap. 🤦‍♀️

So there was only one thing for it — get the tools out and start smashing the cupboards out! 🔨😂

Nothing is ever straightforward at Casa Hermosa, but at this point we really should expect it!

No time to stop though because today we’ve got people to meet, plans to make and LOTS to organise for the next stages of the villa. 🏡🇪🇸

Let’s see what else today decides to throw at us… 👀😂

WE ARE BACK! 🇪🇸🏡☀️

After a whole month away, it feels SO good to be back at Casa Hermosa. 🤍

The only problem… we’re here for just 4 days, so we’re trying to cram in as much as physically possible before we have to leave again. 🙈

We’ve got a list of jobs, plans to make and things we desperately want to get finished…

But if our previous trips have taught us anything, it’s that absolutely nothing goes to plan here 😂

So… 4 days, one very long to-do list and a Spanish villa that likes to keep us on our toes.

Let’s see how many things can go wrong this time! 🤣🔨🇪🇸

Cleaning the solar panels feels like it’s going to be one of those never-ending jobs 🙈☀️🧽

But we do have a bigger plan…

Eventually, we want to move all the solar panels off the roof and create a proper little solar farm away from the house on the land. ☀️🌿

That means we can add more panels, have a dedicated plant room for all the equipment and hopefully make the whole setup much easier to manage.

Another job for the very long Casa Hermosa list 😂

For now though… back to cleaning them! 🧽☀️

So here we are… just having a moment. 🥹🌅

Sunsets always make me emotional, but tonight this one hit a little differently.

Standing here, looking out at this view, it suddenly hit us that although we’re not living here yet… we are SO, SO close. 🇪🇸🤍

After all the dreaming, planning, stress, chaos and “are we actually doing this?!” moments… it IS going to happen.

One day, this won’t be somewhere we have to leave.

This will just be home. 🏡🇪🇸

And I think tonight, for the first time, that really sank in. 🥹

Well… turns out the sangria worked 🍹😂 WE GOT THE SIGN UP! 🙌

Casa Hermosa 🤍🇪🇸

And there’s actually a little story behind the name…

8 years ago, when I started my business, I called it Hermosa. I chose the name partly because it fitted perfectly with my line of work — Hermosa means beautiful in Spanish ✨

But I was also secretly future-proofing it… just in case one day I ended up bringing the business to Spain. 🇪🇸

Funny how life works, because 8 years later we’ve bought our forever home here and Hermosa has found its place in Spain after all. 🥹🤍

Granted, Casa Hermosa isn’t looking quite so hermosa yet 😂🙈… but give us time!

One day she’ll live up to her name. 🤍✨

I’m not bossy… I just know what the f*%k I’m doing 😂💪

At this point, I’ve stopped waiting for someone else to do the jobs and just started doing them myself 🤣

Villa renovation is really unlocking skills I never knew I had… whether that’s a good thing or not remains to be seen! 🇪🇸😂
