Save the date! A lovely trail running event near us in June. Also like the Bradenham Blast, the Misbourne 5k & 10k is hilly and scenic 🎉

Excited to announce the date of this year's Misbourne 5k and 10k Trail Runs. Looking forward to making it our biggest event yet...

Our friends at the Handy Cross Runners are offering a couch to 5km running course which starts in the new year. The course is run by qualified coaches and open to all. You can find more details on their page 😁

They are a very friendly bunch, here are a few of the Handy Cross Runners who were with us earlier this year.

The Bradenham Blast CaniX was a real highlight for us this year. Seeing dogs and owners streak across the field at the start was quite a sight!

Canicross is a rapidly growing sport in the UK where dogs and owners work their way around a route together. The dogs are of course the stars of the show and are particularly uninterested when it comes to podium photo shoots!

We were up in Bradenham Woods yesterday where most of our route winds through. The trees were a dash of yellow and orange with the sunlight beaming through.

We have a special connection to these woods. Our trophies are made from off-cuts from wood felled here by the as part of their ongoing woodland management. Bo & Fred who live in the village then cut them at the Old Forge, sand down the edges and treat the wood.

A few weeks after the Bradenham Blast sharing a few key numbers from the day:

🌳174 trees planted, each individual entry included a tree.

🗑 75g average waste produced per participant (the equivalent of two crisp bags per runner).

🕵️‍♀️ 43 average age with a wide range of U18s to over 70s.

👫51% Male / 49% Female gender split.

⭐️4.8/5 average review score on Racecheck

Last but not least, are our 5km podium winners. Over half the podiums had U18 athletes who put in sensational performances ,and fantastic to see these young people do so well. Well done for getting on top of the rock:
