We kicked off our year with a Scafell Pike Sunrise Challenge for Shelter Lancashire. Despite bracing conditions, the team caught a weather break and were treated to a stunning sunrise on England’s highest mountain.
Next we head to the Yorkshire Dales later this Spring.

The startline awaits…will you be joining us on the inaugural Chilterns Hills Backyard Ultra?
Every hour, you run a ‘yard’ or 4.1 miles. You start your next ‘yard’ when the next hour starts and repeat until you either have had enough or miss the next start.
A true test of personal endurance and stamina (and also a lot of fun!).

We are stoked to announce the launch of the inaugural Chiltern Hills Backyard Ultra, hosted exclusively on the stunning Bradenham Estate in the heart of the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The course winds through wildflower meadows and ancient beech woodland, offering sweeping views across the surrounding valley.
The Backyard Ultra format consists of a 4-mile (6.7km) loop with 162m of ascent, repeated every hour on the hour. You must complete each lap within 60 minutes to earn your place on the start line for the next. Miss the start, and your race is over.
Complete 24 laps and you’ll have covered over 100 miles. Any runners still standing at that point will face a final showdown, with the clock stopping at the 24-hour mark.
This is a race that runs through the night and into the unknown — expect challenge, camaraderie, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout.

Cracking day in the Shropshire Hills with ! A very successful fundraising event. The challenge is a one day challenge with some seriously steep sections and over 1000m climbing. Cheers to & for guiding the way.

A few snaps from a small walking group on their 5th adventure with Boondock over the last few years. This time taking in the 1066 countryside route and coastal path to the East of Hastings, managing to avoid heavy rain and having a great time in the process.
We are really not loving weather warnings this year which seem to be much more sensitive to weather forecasts than in previous years and makes the life of outdoor activity organisers a lot harder.

The Bradenham Blast trail running race returns on Sunday 7th September around the beautiful Bradenham, West Wycombe & Hughenden Estates. Working in partnership with Chilterns Countryside, National Trust.
Local runners are preparing for a hilly and scenic run which traverses through beech woodland, along pretty Chilterns fields and common land.
The National Trust has been a key partner since this event started three years ago, providing guidance and support for this local race.
For Fred Newton, one of the organisers ‘this is a remarkable place to come and run, offering challenge and beauty in the same breath. Whatever the weather brings, runners will enjoy the varied and diverse countryside’.
