Today it was Super Sirius (Shemella Dark Star) not his normal alter ego of naughty nuts.
He may not be able to stand still in the show ring, but today he blasted his Search and Rescue assessment and is now a qualified L2 Lowland Rescue Search Dog.
I am beyond proud of him and I am sure his mother Mist and Uncle Bodger would also have been proud of him following in their pawsteps 🐾

Just sharing the post below for a ringcraft/ handling day.
Iain who is a KCAI qualified trainer in Ringcraft is one of the trainers.

Date for your Diaries
On the 26th of November we will be holding a show/ringcraft Day
Venue – Larkfield Village Hall, New Hythe Lane, Aylesford ME20 6PU
Morning session – 10-00am to 12-30 – for new or less experienced
Afternoon session – 1-00pm to 4-30 – For those more familiar with showing.
£20.00 per session or £35-00 for wishing to do all day.
We are limiting it to 10/12 per session.
Priority will go to Southern Border Collie members but is open to everyone irrespective of breed.
More details at later date but if you wish to have your name on the list

So our Search Dog Jupiter has his first swim with Iain for a tear to his Achilles Tendon.
3 weeks ago he was very unhappy and was on 3 legs for a week, but with pain relief he started to put it down.
This is no quick fix and is only allowed lead walks. He has lost a lot of muscle so swimming will help.
He is such a happy boy and after the year he has it says something of his character. He had his first Cruciate repair December 21 and just when he was about to go back on call ruptured the other cruciate in May. His amazing vet James at Temple End Vets fixed him and he went back on call in September and attended a couple of shouts before he retired in December at the age of 12. James did say I couldn’t break him again, but he was just unlucky -although I think chasing a Red Kite may be the reason 🙄
