Statement by Peter Brazier, Cabinet Member for Culture & Leisure, regarding the Wycombe Rye Lido:

“Buckinghamshire Council is aware that Fusion Lifestyle, the charity operating a number of leisure facilities across England, including Wycombe Rye Lido in Buckinghamshire, has entered administration.

Wycombe Rye Lido is a valued and much‑used local facility which plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local communities. We have been working behind the scenes to agree a transition period between Buckinghamshire Council and the Joint Administrators of Fusion to ensure that, for now, Wycombe Rye Lido can remain open and operating as usual.

We will continue to work closely with the Administrators and relevant partners to support continuity of service, recognising Wycombe Rye Lido is an important community facility. At this early stage in the process, there are a number of options in play in terms of a future operator for the site and we will provide more information when this is available.”

An amazing week in Tenerife- our clubs 12th annual October visit over the last 13 years.

Huge well done to all the swimmers who attended. Massive learnings, life lessons and great training taking place. Wonderful to see such good team and individual behaviours on display - trips like this are all about character development; the training is secondary.

Nathan
- Gold with a pb in the 200 Breast going 2.23.55

Coco
- 13th in the 100m freestyle in age group 15
- 4th in the 200 breaststroke final

Evelyn
- 12th in the 100 freestyle in age group 14
- 6th in the 200 breaststroke final tonight

Gwen
- 3rd in the 12 year age group 800 freestyle

Seren
- 9th in the 14 years age group in the 800m freestyle

A medal rush “DAY 3” which saw some fantastic performances across all age groups. Success spearheaded by Luke Poulton; who in the last final of the day broke the Open/Male Club Record for 400IM. PBing by over 2 seconds and going sub 4:30 for the first time. Taking his brother’s record in a time of 4:29.18.

Other highlights included Lochlann who destroyed his 400 IM PB in the heats and then again by some ten seconds in the final to claim GOLD!

The 100 Free 18/over final was a special one. With Like seeded 2nd and Max 5th both boys out in a stormer of a swim to come 1st and 2nd.

Ivy claimed a bronze in the 13 years 100 Fly Final and Gavina managed a fantastic 4th in the Girls MC 100 Breast.
