TKT Cheerleading IS GOING TO THE TOP!

TKT Cheerleading is celebrating its biggest achievement to date after travelling to Paris at the end of November and not only winning their division, but securing the highly coveted Summit Bid — a golden ticket granting them the opportunity to compete at the International Summit Cheerleading Championships in Florida.

Founded in 2011, TKT has trained hundreds of athletes across all ages and levels, proudly seeing several progress to represent Team England in both cheer and dance. But for the programme as a whole, earning a Summit Bid has been a long-term dream — one that athletes, coaches, and families have worked tirelessly toward for many years.

This year, that dream finally became a reality.

Among the team travelling to Florida will be athletes from both Hinckley and Leamington, making the accomplishment even more special for the small, community-centred programme. One athlete, who started training with TKT at just two years old and now turns sixteen, summed up the excitement: “We have to go — this is what we have been working for.” Another athlete, who joined the team at age four and is now eighteen, said: “I can’t believe we’ve finally made it.”

Programme Director Tracy expressed her pride and joy at watching athletes who have dedicated years to TKT now reaching the highest stage in the sport. “To finally take these athletes to the World Stage is something we’ve all dreamed about. Their hard work, resilience and commitment to TKT is what has finally enabled this achievement.”

The sense of family within the team is strong. One athlete shared, “I started cheer at an after-school club TKT ran, and now I’ve become part of the forever family.” Another long-term athlete added, “I’ve competed for Team England, but being able to go and compete with my family — my cheer sisters — I’m so proud. It hits harder.”

As a registered Community Interest Company, TKT Cheerleading is calling on the local community for support. Athletes will need to raise significant funds to travel to Florida and represent Hinckley, Leamington and the wider Midlands on the world stage.

“We are beyond excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” the coaching team said. “These athletes have trained so hard for so many years — now we need the community’s help to get them to Florida and let them shine.”

TKT Cheerleading looks forward to proudly representing the UK, their towns, and their tight-knit cheer family at the Summit Championships in 2026.
