🎯 WYKin Darts League – Double In, Double Out Gets Underway! 🎯
The new Winter 2026 Wykin Darts League got underway tonight, with the players facing the added challenge of the Double In, Double Out format — and the opening night certainly produced some impressive darts.
After the first three matches, Martin Giddings, Lauren Hall and Paul Goodfellow have all made perfect starts, each winning all three of their matches and sitting on 9 points.
Kevin Taylor and Adam Mallabone are also unbeaten after three matches, both collecting 9 points, while Kevin Clark has joined them on 9 points following three wins.
There were some excellent individual performances as well. Lewis Underwood leads the early averages with a superb 61.90, closely followed by Kevin Taylor on 60.59 and Martin Giddings on 60.20.
Taylor also produced an outstanding 66.79 First 9 average, with Giddings recording 62.89, showing that the Double-In format hasn’t stopped some big scoring once the players get underway.
The 180 column has already been opened too, with Paul Humphries hitting the first maximum shown in the early statistics. Aaron Wall and Kevin Mallabone—correction: Adam Mallabone—were among those producing plenty of ton-plus visits, with Aaron registering 9 scores of 100+ and two 140+ scores, while Adam recorded 12 tons and two 140+ visits.
There were plenty of close matches among the opening results as well. Nathanial Tonks edged Joe McKenna 3–2, Aaron Wall beat Paul Humphries 3–2, Max Simpson defeated Aaron Wall 3–2, and Kevin Clark got past Joe McKenna 3–2.
At the other end of the scale there were some emphatic 3–0 victories, including wins for Lauren Hall, Paul Goodfellow, Martin Giddings, Lewis Underwood, Adam Mallabone and Ryan Garnham.
With 24 players involved and everyone getting their first taste of the new format, it’s already shaping up to be a very interesting season.
Double in. Double out. No easy starts and no easy finishes! 🎯
A cracking opening night for the Wykin Darts League Winter 2026 — and plenty more darts to come! I’m away next week so will leave you in the capable hands of Paul Goodfellow. So until next time. Sayonara. 🎯🕺
