Congratulations to Martín del Castillo Velasco & Damon Robert McPherson for passing their 5th Dan tests today with Peter King.
Martín in particular has been my student & friend for many years and it’s a delight to see him progress in this Bujinkan milestone.

My many thanks to Peter for conducting the test.

Great way to finish a Friday with 3 hours of Togakure ryū themed training, co-hosted with Bujinkan Ely dōjō. It was great seeing Rick, his students, old and new faces.
We covered some of the Santo Tonko no Gata, Biken and threw some senban.

One of the best ways to advance is through healthy collaboration. Hopefully we can do more of this in the future 🙂

Yesterday was the last class of the year. A few things changed since the start of 2025!

We have 4 new students and a 2nd weekly day of training at a new venue in Arbury, Cambridge.

I am also grateful to Peter King for teaching the Japanese police Taihōjutsu seminars, at which I am now a 7th kyū.

I am looking forward to what 2026 will bring us and classes will continue on January the 9th.

What a great time at Peter’s 40th dōjō anniversary seminar! I am very grateful for all the teaching.
Good to see Ivan, Tim, Nick and other old friends.

Today we had the Kusari Fundō and Kakushi Buki seminar, thank you all for attending!
We also covered a few Shōden and Chūden techniques from Koto Ryū.
