Here it is as promised 😬 This is what I was working on just before Christmas - a bespoke order from one friend to give to another as a Christmas gift. More details to come in spotlight posts but here’s the group all together - Steve with his little ones Charlie & Jess🥰

Two of my best friends are Foster parents. They provide a loving, safe environment for children, whose families need a little help, maybe a little time or who find themselves in a vulnerable situation.

When they first started, we discussed me making a Mini-Mee of each of their long-stayers so they have a reminder of their little guests.

So, this is a Mini-Mee of a little chap who arrived with them when he was almost 2 years old and stayed for 2.5 years 😍 He is now happily settled with his new family and so it was time to make his Mini-Mee.

The brief was simple - beaming smile, head full of curls and holding a ball. 😁⚽️

I’m so pleased to be able to make these for my friends - and so proud of them for the amazing job that they do xx

Last but not least!…

✨ Mark ✨

The brief:
• Short Grey Hair
• Blue Jeans With Blue Short-Sleeved Top
• Silver Watch On Left Wrist

I thought I’d finish the Attwell family posts with the man responsible for the whole thing - Mark!
Mark contacted me with the idea to gift a Mini-Mee to each of his family members attending a Christmas lunch. He added them to the glass domes and placed them on the Christmas dinner table to greet them - such a lovely idea!

I made the Mini-Mees with a dome at hand to ensure they fitted inside. The dome is actually an empty Nutella jar - a bonus for me!

Big thanks to Mark for commissioning this order and allowing me the opportunity to work on so many Mini-Mees at once ☺️ 🧑🏻‍🎄

✨ Lucas ✨

The brief:
• 5 Year Old Boy
• Light Brown Short Hair
• Stripey, Hooded Top
• Blue Jeans
• Dark Wellies

Does anyone else have that one project where everything that can go wrong, does go wrong?!
Well, that was poor little Lucas 🤦🏼‍♀️ This is actually one of 3 (!) that I made as I wasn’t happy… I can’t remember all the things that happened now, but it was very stressful!

As such, I can’t look at this one without seeing the faults but the customer was happy, including little-big Lucas - and that’s the main thing ☺️
