After an exciting season of very close competition we are pleased to announce that we have our winner of the 2026 Wiscombe Park Tillicoultry Quarries Championship – and it is congratulations to Henri Gosney – Wiscombe Park Champion!

Henri – our 2025 Young Driver of The Year – has performed faultlessly all season long. He quickly made the transition from the Suzuki Swift - his mount for the 2025 season into the BMW Mini. Torbay MC member Henri tackles each event in a calm and methodical way – he always seems very cool in the paddock. We are sure that this 16-year-old rising star of our sport has a great future ahead of him. We look forward to his 2027 season with much eagerness.

Chasing Henri hard all season long were Julian Rinaldi, Steve Wareham and our 2025 Champion, Paul Reynolds. All three drivers separated by the smallest of margins and many Class wins between them. Rod Thorne maintained his fifth place and it is welcome into the top six to Downton MC’s Toby Bishop.

A big “thank you” to our Championship Co-ordinator Steph Thomas and to our sponsor, Tillicoultry Quarries and BHC quadruple Champion Wallace Menzies.

Henri will be presented with his trophy at the Wiscombe Park Awards Evening which will be held at Wiscombe House on Saturday 7th November. We very much hope that many of this year’s competitors, marshals and officials will join us for the highlight of the Wiscombe Park social calendar.

The Wiscombe Park season was brought to a close on Sunday with the Arnold Gimblett Hillclimb organised by the National Hillclimb Association (NHCA). The day was warm and dry and we welcomed one of our biggest crowds for an all-bike event for many years.

The NHCA competitors put on a tremendous display of riding at the limit as always. Unfortunately, towards the end of the afternoon some Wiscombe “liquid sunshine” made an appearance, and this spoilt the Top 10 Run Off with the riders not able to better the times set earlier in the day.

The Run Off was won by the current NHCA Champion, Tom Short, with a time of 42.91s. Tommy Hodges and George Hodges took second and third places.

Tom also set the FTD - 40.56s - congratulations!

Wiscombe Park now goes into winter hibernation. A big “thank you” from Peter Isaac to all those volunteers who assisted with the dismantling of our infrastructure on Sunday evening.

And something for you all to look forward to over the long winter months, the 2027 Wiscombe Park season will open in the traditional way with the Woolbridge Spring event on the 24th/25th April!

Saturday’s MG Car Club event was curtailed just after lunch following an accident which resulted in considerable damage to the marshals post at Esses 1. Fortunately, both the driver, Michael Bell, and the marshals avoided serious injury – a couple of the marshals required the attention of our Chief Medical Officer, Dr Stuart Hateley, for some cuts and bruises. We wish both marshals a speedy recovery.

Because of the damage to the marshals post the Clerk of the Course and the MG Car Club took the difficult decision to cancel the event and declare the results based on just the one event run from the morning session.

And it was the driver on an incredible run of form currently, Ed Hollier, who took FTD with a time of 35.95s in his Force HC. Congratulations Ed!

Our NHCA Arnold Gimblett event will be going ahead on Sunday – so we look forward to seeing you for the final event of the season – share the passion!
