There has been another change of date for Ron’s Fun Bowls afternoon and it will now take place on Thursday 3rd September starting at 1pm.

This is the final session of the 2026 season before we close for the winter so it would be great to see everyone there.

What a fantastic day of bowls! 🏆 Great games were played throughout the day in a wonderfully friendly spirit.

🌧️ Leicester Parks Touring Team

Well, the rain had other ideas today and scuppered our plans for an outdoor game! ☔️

But with a quick change of plan, we moved indoors and managed to have a very enjoyable game at the Indoor Club. The result was each club winning 2 rinks and 1 rink drawn. Hornsea did take the aggregate, but really it was much more about enjoying a good, very friendly afternoon of bowls. 😊

A huge thank you to the Indoor Club for accommodating us at such short notice, and especially to Marie for looking after us all afternoon. It was very much appreciated. 💚

Thanks to everyone who played and helped make it such an enjoyable afternoon

🎉 THE EVENING LEAGUES MAY BE OVER… BUT THERE’S STILL LOTS GOING ON AT HORNSEA BOWLING CLUB! 🎉

Although our evening leagues have now finished, the bowls and socialising certainly haven’t!

There’s plenty happening over the next couple of weeks:

🎯 Club Competitions
• Pairs are running this week
• Triples are running next week
• Novice competitions are also ongoing

Friday 21st August – Leicester Parks Touring Team
We are delighted to welcome the Leicester Parks Touring Team for a friendly game, starting at 1.30pm. We still need a few players, so if you’re available, please get your name down!

🏆 Finals Weekend – 21st & 22nd August
Come along and support our finalists – always a great weekend of bowls and plenty of friendly rivalry! Further details will follow once finalists known.

🏆Presidents Cup – Monday 24th August
Starting at 12.00 noon, with bacon butties available from 11.00am. We’re still looking for a couple more teams, so get your team together and get your names down!

🎉 End of Season Challenge & Fun Bowls Day – Thursday 27th August
Ron is rounding off the season with an End of Season Challenge & Fun Bowls Day, starting at 1.00pm. No need to book – just turn up on the day and join in the fun! 😄

So, even though the leagues have finished, there’s still plenty of reasons to get down to Hornsea Bowling Club! 💚
