WHAT A RETURN TO THE HOLLIS! 🏡🔥

A brilliant afternoon back at the newly improved Hollis Recreational Ground, capped off with three points and a clean sheet. A massive shoutout to everyone who has put the work in behind the scenes to make the improvements possible. 👏

Town started brightly, with Ed Griffiths (Coast to Coast Financial Services) and Liam Colclough (Bodymax Sports & Remedial Therapy) setting the tone with some big tackles early on. The pressure was excellent throughout the first half, with our best chances falling to Dan Finch (Theo Blake Golf Limited), who saw his effort saved, and Joe Stannard (Beverley Takes The Lead Dog Walker), who nearly capitalised from a set piece.

HT | 0–0

A change at the break saw Robbie Mills (Widdas Landscaping) replaced by Lewis Reeve (The Club at Leven Sports Hall) — and what a substitution that proved to be. 👀

The fight and desire continued and eventually the deadlock was broken. Great pressure from Connor Boyd (Multiworks Building Services) saw him intercept a Hedon pass before finding Finch. Finch released Reeve, who delivered a great ball back into the area, and Boydy had continued his run to finish the move he started! ⚽️🔥

1–0 TOWN | Connor Boyd

Town wrapped up the points in the 90th minute. A long ball from Luke Cotton (C.J.M Services) was brilliantly brought down by Finch, who found Reeve. Reevo unselfishly squared it back to Finch, who finished for his sixth goal of the season! ⚽️

2–0 TOWN | Dan Finch

A special mention for Harrison Glendinning (Hellmann’s Mayonnaise Consortium), who was superb at right-back — excellent on the ball and made sure Hedon’s winger didn’t get a second on the ball. 👏

And congratulations to ‘Shed’ — Owen Parnaby, who made his Zebras debut this afternoon and put in a great shift after coming on! 🦓👏
