It's that time of year when we welcome back our outdoor bowlers and the Ladies would like to do it in style with a few drinks and nibbles to accompany a bit of friendly bowling.

We played our last indoor mixed friendly of the summer season on Saturday with a tough fixture away to our near neighbours Grattons.

It was a fiercely competitive match played in great spirit by both teams with the final winners of 5 of the 6 rinks not settled until the final end or indeed the final bowl.

In such a game the final score doesn't really matter as the sport of bowls was the real winner.
