Established in 1984 by principal Anne Thompson, Zazz has grown to become one of the largest Dance and Performing Arts centres in the North-East. Offering classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Ballroom, Latin American, Sequence, Street/Freestyle, Cheerleading and Irish Dancing as well as an ever popular Drama + Musical Theatre. Pupils perform regularly in Zazz Theatre (with full theatrical sound and lighting) as well as performances at Sunderland Empire, Newcastle Tyne Theatre, Durham Gala, Sadler's Wells London, Her Majesty's Theatre London, The Royal Albert Hall, Cruise Ships, television and radio. Former pupils have gone on to study at top performing arts colleges across the UK and follow a career in the industry.

From Victoria lecturing, Emily performing, CPD training, high exam level scrolls awarded, 2 of our S.T.E.P trainees attending a full day of workshops, our adult ballroom class on the floor dancing and our Principal awarded ‘Outstanding services to theatre’ award, (along with our supporters partying 😁)-WOW!

TODDLERS: THURSDAY 2pm (from walking to 2 1/2 yrs)
SUNDAY11am NEW CLASS STARTING OCTOBER 18th.

LOLLIPOPS: (from age 2 1/2 years) SATURDAY 9.15am (ballet ) /9.45am (tap, jazz with freestyle).
11.15-12noon Unicorns and fairies (ballet with fun dressing up).
3pm (ballet) / 3.30pm (tap, jazz with freestyle

SUNDAY 9.15am (ballet) / 9.45am (tap, jazz with freestyle).
ACRO-GYMNASTICS DANCE (age 3+) 10.15-11am
BALLROOM AND LATIN AMERICAN (age 3+) 4.30-5pm

THURSDAY 1pm (ballet) / 1.30pm (tap, jazz with freestyle).

FRIDAY 4pm (drama and musical theatre) /4.30pm Acro- gymnastics dance (age 3+).

HOUGHTON FEAST PARADE WORKSHOP.
Come and join us for a free workshop Monday 14th or 28th September 6-7pm (8yrs to adult).
We will be doing simple movements to music to help create a lovely parade. All participants are welcome to follow on behind our cheerleaders, moving to the same tune.
We look forward to seeing everyone.
