Feeling stiff through your back after sitting or staying in one position for too long?
Gentle movement and stretching can help you explore a comfortable range of motion and reduce everyday stiffness. Move slowly, breathe normally and never force a position.
Remember that stretching is only one part of looking after your back. Regular movement and appropriately programmed strength training are also important.
Stop if a movement causes pain. Persistent, severe or worsening back pain should be assessed by a healthcare professional.

Can you relate?
Back discomfort can make everyday activities, from sitting at your desk to getting out of a chair, feel more difficult than they should.
Avoiding movement completely is not always the answer. Appropriate strength training, improved mobility and regular movement can help your body become stronger and more resilient.
At Transform PT, every exercise is adapted to your current ability so you can progress safely and confidently.
Whatever the issue, understanding how your body moves can help you improve your movement and gradually increase your exercise levels.
Kettlebells are a versatile way to build full-body strength, stability and coordination.
From carries and squats to presses and controlled floor exercises, each movement can be adapted to suit your current ability and training goals.
Good technique comes first. Start with a manageable weight, move with control and focus on performing each repetition well.
Discipline may look repetitive, but consistency is where real progress is built.
Want to learn how to use kettlebells safely and effectively? We can help you.

A good warm-up prepares your body for the movements and demands of your training session.
Start with gentle activity to raise your heart rate, then gradually introduce movements similar to those in your workout. You should feel warmer, more mobile and ready to train.
Your warm-up does not need to be complicated. It simply needs to be appropriate for your body and the activity ahead.

Not everyone loves training alone.
Some people thrive with a bit of extra energy around them, a coach keeping them on track and others alongside them who are working towards their own goals.
Our Small Group Personal Training sessions bring together expert coaching and a more personal training experience, with groups of just 4 people so you still get the attention and guidance you need.
You’ll have a clear plan, the support of an experienced coach and a training environment that helps you stay consistent and keep making progress.
If you’re looking for a way to make training part of your routine, without feeling like you’re doing it on your own, small group coaching could be the perfect fit.
There's no one size fits all approach to getting results.
For Tess, it wasn't about quick fixes or spending hours in the gym. It was about building a programme around her goals, creating simple habits she could stick to and having the accountability to stay consistent.
The result? A lifestyle that feels sustainable, greater confidence and fitness that's become part of her everyday routine.
If you're looking for a coaching approach that's built around you and your life, we'd love to help. Get in touch to find out more.
